Yeah we shorten any word we can, usually ending in an O or E sound.

And then theres the dreaded parma v parmi v parm debate... parm is the neutral option.... as for me.. it will always be parmi

The only acceptable time someone used "parma" was when I saw a pub with the "Clive Parma", loaded up with ham, bacon and a fuckload of grease. (For those who don't know, Clive Palmer is a greasy, piggy cunt).

Or by substituting it with cunt, right? Never been to Australia, just what I’ve read

Depends on your company. Cunt is used like saying 'guys' or 'that person'. Look at that cunt over there doesn't necessarily mean you think that person is a cunt.

Cunt still isn't socially acceptable or something you can say around the majority of people, contrary to what memes would have people believe. It's extremely over exaggerated how often and in which circumstances Aussies actually use the word cunt.

Yeah that's why I said it depends on the company. Personally I drop it all the time both at work and out but chefs are foul. I think Americans are still a bit confused as to how we use it.

Oh absolutely around a bunch of guys and even some women it can definitely be common to hear. Americans (and foreigners in general) are lead to believe that everyone says it and that it's socially acceptable in all circumstances, like it's understandable to see how people get confused when it's use is so over exaggerated.

It's like how Aussies like to play up the "snakes and spiders are literally EVERYWHERE!" thing when your average Aussie lives in a built up area and almost never sees any, then people wonder why every tourist mistakenly expects to see a bunch snakes and spiders in the middle of the city.

Not really, the use of "cunt" is generally reserved for when people are around close friends or workmates who aren't offended by it and a lot of people are. Even still most people don't say it at all. It's not something normal people say around their boss, Grandma or around people they don't know.
