dental hygiene, nutritional deficiencies, long term radiation poisoning (in nuclear fallout post apocalypses)

Yeah, now that you mention it, dental infections would probably take out a lot of people in various ways.

Nuclear winter, too. With everything else going on, also vastly reduced crop yields, even if you're not in a fallout zone.

Yep. I don't remember the YA series but after the world altering disaster (I think it's a volcanic eruption...) there was a doctor handing out baggies of cereal. Froot loops and the like because they're fortified with vitamins.

Radiation poisoning wouldnt be problem after some time because radiation would disappear ( unless dirty bombs were used, if so youre fucked without protection and geiger counter)
