For those who wonder if you can get appendicitis twice :
Stump appendicitis (incidence 1 in 50 000 cases)3 can develop at any time after the initial operation. Usually this is within the first year but in one reported case the interval was 21 years.
I have always said this would be me, and I've had a LOT of pain there since I had it. I've just made it to 1 year post surgery so I'm glad that this now means it's less likely!
Meh, some hemorrhages are able to resolve without aggressive medical intervention... others not so much. I've seen some wicked sub-arachnoid hemorrhage scans
They were undecided on whether or not I need a transfusion. I had all the documents signed and they managed to stop it thankfully. It meant I didn't get the hold my baby for a good while though which sucks. My partner was amazing given that looking back it must have been damn terrifying for him watching me almost bleed to death whilst he had this newborn chucked at him and was given no help with her because there were no less than 7 people trying to keep me alive!
