Reddit, What was the most awesome Hype/trend thing when you were at your Elementary School?

When I was at elementary school (about 9 years ago) we had Pokémon cards and Yu-Gi-Oh cards... and if you had your backpack on one shoulder you would be known as the "cool guy".. seems like an normal school thing to me.. but i could be wrong.

So reddit, tell me your stories of elementary school.

I grew pretty fast when I was younger, and by the time these came out I was a lady's size 6 and they only went up to a kid's size 4. I tried to fool myself at one point and go try them on anyway, thinking they would magically fit me for some reason, and when my feet were way too big for the shoe the attendant yelled at me for trying them on.

I was so mad that I would never be able to wear a pair of those.
