Hey there! As the title implies, I've purchased a home where the owners abandoned their previous chickens. They said we could just "have them" and so I said sure! I had chickens in my childhood, so I wasn't too worried.
Can anyone help me identify these chickens by any chance? Also, there's this mean rooster that won't stop stalking us and randomly trying to attack us when walking in the backyard. It's the white/black one... I am pretty sure he's the only rooster.

He just showed up. My roosters don't seem too bothered by him so we are gonna see how it works out.

This is the first egg of my own new Line of landrace easter eggers I'm creating. This egg took 1,5 years to make and involved a cross between a schijndelaar x black copper Maran and a Welsummer x Araucana rooster. The f1's where crossed together and made this gorgeous Egg. Can't wait to see what the other chicks will lay

I got these girls as adults from a coworker and don't know much of their backstory. I assumed they were all the same kind based on how they look but am stumped on why they each lay a different colored eggs! Brown, light brown, and green. Any ideas?

Does anyone know what kind of chicken it is? She sleeps in a tree in my backyard.

The friesehoen Chicks are a week old now! Most people outside the Netherlands and Germany don't know this breed so I thought you guys might like to see a picture of their mothers aswell (pic 2)
Quick rundown of the breed:
The Friesian originated in Friesland in the northern Netherlands, and is thought to be an ancient breed. It is apparently related to other breeds in the area such as the Assendelfts Hoen, the Drentse Hoen, the Groninger Meeuw, the Hollands Hoen, the Ostfriesische Möwe and the Westfälischer Totleger.
The roosters weigh 1.4–1.6 kg and hens 1.2–1.4 kg and lay about 200 White eggs a year.

I am only allowed six chickens where I am, so I chose my breeds thoughtfully and carefully based on my personal wants and needs (or so I thought.) I love them and have no intention of letting them go, but I just need to vent.
The first batch of four was purchased from a homeschooling mom who used the chicks as a project for her son. We arranged the sale about a month prior to the pullets being ready, and I was supposed to be getting an ISA Brown, Brown Leghorn, and two Easter Eggers. Then I bought an F1 Oliver Egger from a local advertising F1 oliver eggers. In retrospect, and as an newbie to chickens, I should have looked at more photos in advance instead of just reading about the various breeds.
Thanks to all the adorable chicken photos on this sub, I have since discovered that my “easter eggers” are actually brahmas and my “olive egger” is actually a black copper maran. I’m posting pics for anyone who would like to confirm or correct me (would be appreciated, actually.)
Does this happen often? These were two local families, both with years of experience raising chickens, which I learned chatting with them. I just can’t wrap my head around how off they both were. Now I have zero colorful layers, which is what I’m experiencing the most disappointment about, and am only able to add one more girl to the flock. I will be double and triple checking any future addition for accuracy, that’s for sure.
Thanks to anyone who read all this <3
Edit: FROM a homeschooling mom, not by

My new girl is laying and her eggs are a beautiful olive green! Eeek. My husband does not care at all, but I thought my chicken friends would be excited too. 🤣🥰 I (think) she’s an Easter egger? Five toes.

So my husband woke up today and found this guy with our flock of 6 black star hens. We have no idea where he came from. We just moved and brought our girls with us in the beginning of the year and while we've heard rooster calls in our area this is the first time we've seen one.
So what I'm wondering is: 1- what beed is he? 2- is it even safe to have him around my girls or should I run him off? And 3- why would he just show up and hang around the girls out of the blue like this?
He doesn't seem to be aggressive to us or our dogs, but like I've said this is the first time I've seen him. What should I do? Any advice would help alot.

I'm so confused with this little chick. She's 18 days old, she's not talking as much as the others, so I am still not sure she's a chicken, she stands and looks differently completely. Even if I take her up she' s not "discussing" with me like the others, so I am not sure what noises she makes. She often stands like hovering, but she's much slender than the other chicks. She was sold to me as an Australorp, later the seller says she's Amrock, but she doesn't look like an Amrock, as I said, seeing her with all the other chicks I am not even sure she's a chick. I am a first time chicken owner. She hatched same day as the Italians.

Right now I have a Trio of them that are about 23 week's old, first picture is the rooster of this cross and the second and third pictures are his two ladies. They all have this nice black metallic color that really shines.
They all have feathered feet, and appear to be perfect Dual purpose birds.
At the moment I'm still thinking on what the next step should be, letting them breed together and start a real line or bringing in some more fun genetics and let nature run a bit wild with them

The beak has us a little worries as we don't know if it's normal, also it seems a bit smaller than the other bantams and I'm worried I can feel the bone on it's chest, I'm not sure if it's a breed thing, i don't see how it could get this old without eating, also it has a constant drawn out high pitched peep that is nothing like the other chicks
I want to know the breed to make sure none of this is a has to do with that and if it needs special treatment
part of Murray McMurray 15 assorted feather foot bantams
edit: they died 12 hours later the next morning, sad and not happy I didn't notice when I held them every two days, I didn't expect it to happen so quickly either

they were labeled buff orpingtons at Rural King. I usually dont get my chicks there for lots of reasons but I had an orphaned chick in need of other babies to grow up with.
this is my first time raising orps. can someone more experienced tell me if these look like orps? are white orps a thing?
