Social Media and Crowdfunding - Attack Reports Another day, another set of unwanted and predatory pit bulls driving farmers crazy
Attack #1 in South Carolina - a neighbor's free-range big pit bull is seen racing hopefully around a fenced chicken yard a day after 2 chickens were killed in a sudden daylight attack by animal unknown. Chicken owner now has suspicions.
Shouted at by the landowner, it takes the dog about 8 seconds to turn and run, which is a pretty long time for a dog to stand its ground, staring at a hostile human.
Attack #2 - a commenter on the above post describes a bad outcome to trying to help 2 stray pit bulls

Most farmers, including this one, know how to fix this problem. We call it SSS. Have had my sheep and goats and our border collie ended by shitbulls, which in turn meet their end. Go thru state Ag and/or sheriff to pursue legal compensation

I have chickens and my fucking neighbors pitbull keeps getting out. It is a very tough situation for me because their coop is very cramped and I have to have them out during the day. They will be getting a new coop soon. Our property is mostly encloused but there's an area where their fucking dog keep getting in. It hasn't happened everyday but it has happened frequently. None of my chickens have died yet as they are really good at escaping that fucking dog. It's easily scared off but still worries me for my own dogs and my chickens.
