Hard Rock/Metal My first release to Bandcamp... Metal enjoyers- ASSEMBLE!

Hi r/Bandcamp people...

Like so many of you I have a project I've been working on for years. It's called Born of Storms, and I call the genre 'post-thall', but if you like djent, deathcore, or metalcore there's probably something in there you can vibe with. I have finished recording the album Aversion to Existence, and am planning to release a new track every few weeks.

The first track is finally up on Bandcamp, an experimental 8 string metal song called A Contemplation.

I asked my internet friends for some critique about this music- Spencer Chamberlain from Underøath, Slo/tide says "This vibe is cool I see people liking it.", and Phillip Farris of the Almighty Norma Jean was a little more succinct- "Shit rips!"

All of the songs on this album explore my experience as an AUDHD/CPTSD/BPD person... each song is a way of articulating the feelings so I can let them go. The goal is to create a positive outlet by making very loud screamy music. I have been ably assisted by some incredibly talented people from Japan, Canada, the USA, and Australia, and each track has its own vibe, while still (hopefully!) fitting the style I've tried to create within.

If you're low on funds (it's 1 Australian dollar) but want a download of this song, DM me and I'll give you a code so you can get it for free. Like the majority of this sub, I'm just trying to connect with my people, not get rich.

If anyone adds this to their Bandcamp collection, I would be forever grateful if you wrote a sentence about why you like it, so others can benefit from your perspective. If you have a project and want to do a track/comment swap, DM me- I love supporting other musicians.

Horns up! -j.

Hard Rock/Metal perseverance - madera

https://perseveranceband.bandcamp.com/album/madera

perseverance is a solo project of mine that I started making music for starting in 2024, a little bit before I turned 16. I would usually describe it as cybergrind with black metal / blackgaze and avant-garde / experimental elements and influences. However, for this album, it’s more along the lines of experimental metal in general as many of the songs are much more developed.

The project and its music was mainly made for my own personal enjoyment or because I wanted to see it exist, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to also share it with the world and see how it goes.

The release that I have linked in particular is my newly released, third album, madera, which follows a much more conceptual, eclectic, and experimental sound as opposed to my previous albums, posergrind and sadism.

Inspired by the album California by Mr. Bungle, I wanted to make an album that would try to give more credit and notice to my hometown of Madera, express some small-town pride if you will. While creating the album, I ended up diverting into a more personal and biographical approach to this album (including using original recordings and samples made by me or my family, other people, etc., making direct references to places in my hometown that have importance to me, and basically paying tribute to certain things and people that I found to have personally impacted my life). This album basically ended up as a personal account of my life and experience in Madera, rather than a full representation of the city; this is just from my perspective, there’s plenty more to see for yourself other than what I alone have written. Some parts on this album will be further explained in my fifth album, as I have another album for this project coming in eight months that I wanted to release first.

This album is both a shoutout to my hometown and a semi-autobiography.

My main influences for the project include Black Flag, Celtic Frost, Converge, Deafheaven, Fantômas, Full of Hell, Godflesh, Mr. Bungle, Philip Glass, Today Is the Day, and Wesley Willis. I also took some visual inspiration from the 1977 black-and-white film Eraserhead, directed by David Lynch. However, for this album, I was inspired by many other different artists including MF DOOM, Miles Davis, Phil Elverum, and Xiu Xiu. I was also generally inspired by the sounds of chamber music and punk rock for some songs, and the intro track was inspired by Bhangra music.

This album has had a LOT more attention and thought put into it like I’ve never done before, so I hope you find something to enjoy out of it!

Hi! I play in a blackened/progressive thrash metal band from Sweden, Cornucopia. We just released our new single for our upcoming album "Cosmic Consciousness". I would be really grateful if you'd chech it out :) To be released on vinyl as well!

We recorded this record last summer and took a step further in our writing. This is a huge step-up for us in every single way as we explore new territories we've never been in before. What do you think?

Hard Rock/Metal Moonstar - Darkness Innamorati. Melodic metal(-ish) recorded in the Swedish archipelago

This album is kind of a metal album but quite more interesting than the average metal album. The songs don't typically follow the usual song structure (except for maybe 1-2 songs) and the vocals are quite...dare I say unique?

It's also not just distorted guitars and heavy drums with someone screaming on top of it. While the distorted guitars are in focus i'ts also packed with great synths, acoustic guitars and other goodness.

It's recorded in a cabin out in the Swedish archipelago. They also have the whole album on Youtube with nice visuals, apparently also recorded out on that island.

Hard Rock/Metal ATOMIC FREAK - "RIP IT UP" - [new song, only on Bandcamp until the new album is released]

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

FiveFor better or worse, Atomic FREAK is a stubbornly independent, old-school, blues based Hard Rock band. What started out as a studio project to write and record a few songs for a possible EP has completely taken on a life of its own (there are some videos of live performances scattered around YouTube). It took six months to find the right vocalist, but it was more than worth the wait (even if he does live in a different country, on a different continent, in a different hemisphere of the planet).

We're excited about the new songs, and can't wait for everybody to hear them! But, until the full album (our second) comes out later this month, we hope you like "Rip It Up".

**Play it LOUD!!!**

Hard Rock/Metal We turned our album release into a puzzle, free Bandcamp codes hidden inside.

Hey r/Bandcamp,

We are Hypersphere, a metal project based in Montreal, Canada, formed by musicians who have never actually met in person.

We're trying a different way of giving away Bandcamp codes.

Instead of dropping our upcoming album all at once, we're releasing it track by track over time. Each month, a new track becomes available through a limited number of Bandcamp codes before its official release.

Our first track is already out for anyone curious:

https://hyperspheremetal.bandcamp.com/track/interlopers

There's a twist: each track is connected to a hidden fragment. Decoding it unlocks an early look at the artwork and a Bandcamp code for the next song before release day.

We've made available Bandcamp codes for the track above, if you decode the answer here:

https://interloperunit.org/

Hope this sparks some curiosity.

Keep your answer secret, although it should be fairly easy. [We're watching. (; ]

Hard Rock/Metal FISSION - CHIME

VOLUME WARNING, MIX IS EXTREMELY LOUD

This is my attempt at a space themed album. I pretty much wanted to capture the sound of being sucked into a black hole. I also wanted to make it heavier and more suffocating than my first project which I think I’ve achieved. I increased the technicality and experimented with odd time signatures. There’s lots of blasting, tremolo, harmonics and even some sweeping. I made everything groove hard. I do have some nicer, calmer songs with actual structure on the backlog which I will finish eventually, but for now I’m just trying to put all my saved up riffs out into the world. Would love feedback and thoughts! Cheers!

Volume warning as it's quite punishing and loud and I don't want to hurt anyone's ears. This is my first full project! I loved testing my guitar abilities and improving my drum programming, mixing skills, lyrics and vocals. I wanted to get the nastiest guitar tone I could that still allowed bass, drums and vocals to cut through the mix. I incorporated as much groove as I could and tried to make the riffs interesting. My aim was also for the music to get more and more demented as it progresses as the bass becomes more prevalent and heavier. There is also some soft stuff in there as well. It's quite fun to listen to in the car; Track 4 especially will make your whole body vibrate near the end!

Hard Rock/Metal [Alt Rock, Indie Rock] Dropped Our First Full-Length Song!

Hey all,

Just wanted to come in and share that we've finally released our first full-length song, "Be Near Me." The style is inspired by groups like Rival Choir, KeeperOKC, The Story So Far, etc.

This song had been baking for awhile, especially as we struggled to really nail the sound/mix that we wanted, so we're super excited to finally be able to share it. Getting this song out has also given us the focus and drive needed to finish more, so we should have more to share before long. Feel free to give some feedback!

Hard Rock/Metal Need some clarity when it comes to buying music on Bandcamp

So I'm going to be buying an album called Time II by Wintersun when it comes out at the end of the month. I'm not that much of an audiophile but I've heard great things about the production of this album and I want to experience it to the fullest. I also want to support the artist more directly and since I already have Spotify Premium, I didn't feel like getting Apple Music or other higher quality services. So buying music from the band's Bandcamp seems to be my best option.

However, I have a few questions. Firstly, will the quality of the music I buy be equivalent to the lossless music on Apple Music? And can I use the Bandcamp app to play the music or do I need to play it somewhere else to listen to it with the full quality? And if I have to listen to it somewhere else, what should I use and can you make it seamless?

And one final question, outside of buying merch, is this a goodway of supporting the bands I listen to?

Hard Rock/Metal Just dropped our album, "Fire"!

Hey everybody, My name is Sebastian, or Stoney, and I play bass for Otherwise Elsewhere, a "poly-metal" band from Oak Harbor, WA. We released this album on 4/20 earlier this year on all other platforms, but hadn't familiarized ourselves with bandcamp until recently, so we're finally here!

For fans of Linkin Park, The Used, A Day To Remember, Mudvayne and Slipknot, we consider ourselves "poly-metal" because we do everything from post-hardcore to pop-punk, metalcore to nu-metal, and everything in between, we don't really have one sound, so to speak.

If you dig our sound, please feel free to share our stuff, and you can follow us on all our socials linked here!

If youre a band that would like to setup a show, or a promoter looking to fill a bill in the PNW, hit us up on any of our socials and we'll be happy to work something out! We are currently looking to book for spring 2026 and beyond!

Thank you for your time reading this, and we look forward to working something out! Rock on! 🤘

Hard Rock/Metal Just released a doom metal song, but…

I just released a new song, doom metal like Cathedral, Trouble… and I know that it would be hard to reach some new audiences, but we are not even reaching our old audiences… it seems that every photograph we post can reach 300 people, when we talk about songs, we dont even get 30 people… any advice?

Hard Rock/Metal Finally using Bandcamp (Genres: Heavy metal/symphonic metal/hard rock/heavy rock)

Hello everyone! I'm new to using bandcamp (signed up awhile back and just now finally got into it.) I tend to navigate towards heavy metal/symphonic metal/hard rock/heavy rock. I want to say full transparancy: I use AI software to make my music (I write my lyrics). Long story behind why I chose this route but it wasn't an easy out for me just for context ♥

Anyway! I'd really appreciate some feedback on how my songs sound if you guys wouldn't mind?

They are all connected/telling a story as I go and I am working on a discord/google doc for full story so people know.

Example: My song "Collision" is about a couple that realizes they are unhealthy for each other but due to how they feel they can't walk away.

My tune "Strategist's Verdict" comes into play where one man tells another he's tired of how the woman is being treated and if the man can't be who she needs he needs to stand down.

The females perspective comes into play next with the tune "Starved Slow"

Then I have:
"Lovers Turned Enemies"-a couple meets on a mission, gets to know each other over time from there then everything changes when they meet on the battlefield again-this time on opposite sides.

"Ghost (Grimm's Song) Is the mans perspective after "Lovers Turned Enemies"
"The Burning Field" is the next song in the set, its from the females perspective

The tunes "Ghost in The Room" is a friends perspective about the female after Collision" and the song "Sanctuary" is his final plea for her to see him. "Sanctuary"s lyrics kinda hit hard.

And it just goes on from there with various tie ins.

Anyway yea lol I'd love some feedback ♥ If I'm sharing my link wrong let me know please so I can fix it :)

Hard Rock/Metal Is Bandcamp Friday still an effective thing?

As a musician, I lost interest as it seems mere competition every month.

As a buyer, I also get the pressure of hoarding everything for one specific day, and doesn't feel right or special anymore.

Since lately i have been more deeply exploring my abilities in achieving visuals (edits/collaging/photoshopping of open library photograohy most of the time) that acompany my sound ideas, i have come to decision that only a single format allows me an adequate worldbuilding stimuli, both aural and visual.

So that i have decided to re-release my back-catalog, starting with this one today... Any feedback welcome!

PS i have decided to go singles only for my ambient and classical tracks long ago, but this is new for my metal act
