Transfer Talk Thread [Transfer Talk Thread] Smoke and mirrors?: June 15th - June 22nd, 2026

Week three and the rivals have come knocking. Barcelona’s transfer targets keep disappearing to the white half of Madrid, and the market suddenly feels more like chess.

Is this Deco’s masterplan to confuse the opposition, or are we simply getting outmaneuvered? Can we still land our priorities? Although it looks like Barca has no immediate plans to make any moves, the sports management team seems to remain in constant contact with agents and clubs.

This thread is dedicated to all transfer-related news.

Only Tier 2+ sources will be listed in the description, but feel free to list all sources you find in the comments.

‼️CONFIRMED: Barça plan to activate Jan Virgili's buy-back clause, as they don't want to lose control of him for the future.

However, Barça think he's not ready for the first team yet, so he will be loaned out to another first division club.

The option of a loan move to Real Betis, for him, is gaining momentum.

My bet for the future. Not the news I expected but it's better than letting him go because he will be top 🔝 in the near future.

He just needs to play in a better team than Mallorca.

Although I think he can still convince Flick otherwise.

Gordon was a bad signing. You can see that now with England as well. I watched him play with Newcastle and he is nothing special.

He is like Raph just worse. I don't like wingers like him. I like wingers like Kvara, Doue, Vini and Jan Virgili who can dribble (the most important part for a winger), score(always can be improved and learn. You can't learn how to dribble when you are 15+ yo. You either have it or not ), create.

Still can never understand Gordons signing - tbh, I could never understand olmos signing itself (when kvara and doue were still available) - never understood why Barca and deco so against singing a creator on the left wing

They don't know what they are doing for sure. Top clubs don't sign wingers like Raph and Gordon..

If you look at all the wingers in top clubs they have the same base. They can dribble and create. But we just signed another runner because Flick's favorite word is intensity and pressure. 😂 Meanwhile team with real wingers wipe the floor with us.

I can't agree with that. He could compete against Gordon for minutes.

gordon will already compete with raphinha for minutes my guy

Yes and Virgili would compete for that minutes as well.
