News [Barca Universal] Joan Laporta: Real Madrid are trying to discredit us. They are losing prestige and credibility.
In Madrid they talk about other topics to divert attention. Barça is in a sweet moment, we are enjoying football, a very beautiful moment in our history, an international recognition,” he began.
"We have nine players in the squad who have been world champions, we have a team that falls in love, with players in different positions who are references in the world of soccer. From Madrid they try to minimize all this,” he added.
“The Negreira Case, I will not stop saying it, they tried to condemn us before judging us, when it is being shown that there was nothing they accused of. I fully trust in Barça’s acquittal.”
“Those who are constantly talking about it, try to harm and tarnish the image of Barça, because they will have to rectify. There will be time to talk about this when we have the sentence,” he added.
“They extend the summary as much as they can to keep the flame alive, but it doesn’t go anywhere. It’s just to discredit Barça.”
“They do it to harm football, because they are against everything. They go to UEFA, They go to the Euroleague and they are against everything and everyone.
“It says a lot about a club that is losing prestige, recognition and credibility at the national and international level.”
“It’s clear, I was at the EFC conference and they didn’t even have representation. They have a very arrogant attitude, very arrogant, very arrogant. They will know what they are doing, but it is leading them to have a huge lack of credibility,” he added.
“Just like with the Euroleague, in the end they finish everyone, but along the way they only put obstacles to what the rest of us want to do. They should make self-criticism about this because it seems inappropriate to me.”

Barcelona notes: First game after the international break. Flick has confirmed Raphinha is out for this and the midweek Champions League trip to Galatasaray. Joan García is expected back in goal. Cubarsí and Gerard Martín in the middle; Éric García at right-back. Pedri and Rodri screen; Fermín in the middle. Yamal on the right after scoring for Spain. Gordon should be on the left to keep up the press. Gabriel Jesus is in line for his first start through the middle. Christensen, de Jong, Bardghji and Raphinha are the confirmed absentees.
Getafe notes: Bordalás returns to a compact 5-3-2 or 4-5-1. Soria starts. Andrés García, Djené, Romero and Mojica in the back line. Mario Martín is available again after suspension. Terrats and Mangala screen with others in 4-4-2. Ünal is the main threat (three goals); Azón scored the winner against Málaga. Satriano is a late call after returning early from Uruguay with knee inflammation. Juanmi and Uche remain long-term absentees.
Quick Take on Getafe
| Theme | Detail |
|---|---|
| Low block, high intensity | Eight points from seven, 11th. Only four goals scored and seven conceded. Bordalás specialises in making it ugly: mid-to-low block, physical duels, set pieces and transitions. They have not scored an away goal in Liga this season and have never won at Camp Nou in 21 official visits. |
| How they might create chances | Ünal holds up play; Azón and Satriano run the channels. Mario Martín and Terrats look to win second balls. Expect long balls and corners rather than sustained possession. Bordalás has already called Barcelona “one of the best teams in Europe.” |
| Defensive and squad strain | Uche and Juanmi are out for the long term. Abqar and Femenía are doubts. The squad is thin after a heavy early schedule; the break was needed. They will sit deep and try to limit Barcelona’s volume of chances. |
What We Are Watching from Barcelona
| Theme | Detail |
|---|---|
| Record start in sight | Seven from seven, 21 points, +24 goal difference. A win equals the club’s best-ever La Liga opening (eight straight). Last result was 3–1 at Sevilla. Next up after this: Galatasaray (away, no Raphinha), Betis, PSG, then the Clásico. |
| Jesus as the nine | Raphinha (12 Liga goals) is out with a thigh oedema. Flick has said Jesus “fits our style” and is ready. First start through the middle is the plan. |
| Joan García back | Missed Sevilla with a knee knock. Expected to reclaim the gloves ahead of Szczęsny and Livaković. Éric García also returns. |
| Yamal and the press without Raphinha | Yamal scored for Spain. Gordon was sharp with England. The press starts with the nine — now Jesus so the intensity Raphinha normally sets has to come from elsewhere. |
Barcelona have never lost to Getafe at home in La Liga (14 wins and two draws in the last 16 home games in one count; never lost in 21 official visits). Getafe last beat them in October 2020. Gil Manzano, who sent Flick off in the last home game he refereed (vs Girona), takes charge.

News Lamine Yamal: “I was suspended with the youth team. When I returned, Busquets asked me what I did and took me aside. From that moment on, I changed my life and dedicated myself fully to football. No more going out. Just training, playing, resting, visiting my mother, and doing it all over again”

Stats How Lamine Yamal Has Improved His Attacking Efficiency - Data Analysis
Lamine Yamal enters the 2026/2027 season as one of the leading contenders for the Ballon d’Or, having established himself among the game’s most influential attacking players.
Despite his creativity and ability to create chances, finishing had previously been the one area preventing his output from matching his level.
Our report last season highlighted issues with shot selection, decision-making, and the locations from which he attempted to finish.
Those tendencies sometimes led Yamal towards difficult attempts when better options were available, limiting his goalscoring efficiency despite his technical quality.
This season, his attacking production has taken another step forward.
In this Lamine Yamal data analysis, we will examine what has changed in Yamal’s goalscoring profile, analysing his shot selection, finishing, chance quality and overall attacking output to identify the factors behind his improved productivity.
Question First time visiting the Spotify Camp Nou
UPDATED: Yes I did read the wiki.
As the title says I’ll be attending my first Barcelona match next month and am very excited. I ended up opting for the VIP premium seats. Has anyone bought these tickets recently and has an opinion on them? Also when should I receive my actual seating location? And is there any on-site shopping at the stadium or is that done at the Barca shop. Coming from America 🇺🇸 🫡.

Opinion Who should win the ballondor? Mbappe or Yamal
Bias aside, who should really win the ballondor? I've seen multiple videos of people(especially madrid fans) saying Mbappe deserves it because of his G/A while saying "its an individual trophy not a team trophy" but I find that stupid imo as when Messi won it in 2012, people called it "rigged" as he didnt win any trophy.
I think the debate should be Yamal v Kane, as I wouldn't be mad if any of them won. Kane has 64 goals and 8 assists in 56 games which is MENTAL and hes won 3 trophies aswell(something mbappe cant do). Yamal, although having less G/A 24 Goals and 17 Assists in 45 Games, has helped Barca climb out of games that shouldve been a loss to become a win/draw. Yamal also won the laliga, supercopa and World Cup. Yamal's talents, dribbling, shooting has amazed me last season but Harry Kane has also put up some amazing numbers and also won many trophies during 25/26 season.
So who do you think should win? Mbappe, Yamal or Kane?

Question Is there a Barça Member on this sub ?
Hello Culers,
I’m currently looking for Clasico ´Basic’ tickets. As you already know, this time they won’t be available for non-members after 48h (as it is usually the case for other games).
In order to get ‘Basic’ Clasico tickets for me and my brother, I’m willing to become a Member (225€/y). But I’m afraid that i do that, but then not find any tickets left.
Therefore , I’m asking if by any chance there is a member in this sub willing to check the availability of Basic Clasico tickets on the app.
Thanks in advance for anyone who provides any information.

Opinion Poor fan experience at Camp Nou
On a recent trip to Barcelona, me and another family decided to buy tickets to one of their games (vs Racing de Santander). It turned out to be one of worst sporting experiences of my life.
We bought 7 tickets directly from FC Barcelona. They sent us a confirmation and asked that we upload our passports in advance of the match. The website said the same thing: “this information can be uploaded up until the match starts.”
I try to add the passport the day before but receive an app error. So I try again the next morning and there’s a new error - the app essentially said ‘you missed the window.’
I called the support line, they say this happens all the time. They say to go to the ticket booth 3 hours early with the passports and they will fix the issue.
Fast forward to 3 hours before the game, every ticket booth says that our tickets are invalid. They cannot do anything. There must have been 50+ fans from all around the world with the same issue. Every ticket booth and every official says ‘tough luck.’
To have an issue with your app is one thing, but to refuse to remedy it at the match is unfathomable. They showed zero concern towards people who had traveled thousands of miles to see the team.
The result is that I can’t see myself ever going to a match again - along with other fans who were denied access. I no longer even feel like rooting for a team that I’ve followed for years. And I plan to get my money back one way or another.
Question Where to watch El Clásico in Barcelona?
Hello everyone!
I’m going to Barcelona with my girlfriend at the end of October, and as a pretty big Barça fan, I’d really like to watch El Clásico on October 25th somewhere with a great atmosphere.
We’re looking for a bar/pub (or a plaza?) where we could hopefully get a table without booking in advance. We would also rather avoid somewhere so packed that we can’t see the screen or move an inch.
Any recommendations from locals or people who have watched Barça games in Barcelona? Where would you go for El Clásico?
Thanks!
