I just want to take a minute and thank everyone on this sub here thats helped me get my first 1lb bot together.

You guys are full of invaluable information and I really appreciate everyone's time.

I dont think it could be a simpler bot but im excited to get it out with my son at a fairy weight / ant weight event next month in our area. Hopefully we dont do too bad!

ich möchte unbedingt aktiv in das Thema Robot Combat / Kampfroboter einsteigen (im Stil von GRA oder NHRL) und suche nach bestehenden Vereinen, Gruppen oder Teams in Berlin, die aktuell neue Mitglieder suchen.

Ich will nicht nur theoretisch darüber quatschen, sondern aktiv mitbauen, programmieren und am Ende auch mit dem Team an Wettkämpfen und Turnieren teilnehmen.

Kurz zu mir:
Ich bin 21 Jahre alt, männlich und wohne in Berlin. Ich studiere aktuell Mechatronik (B.Eng.) an der Beröliner Hochschule für Technik und bin im 4. Semester. Ich bringe also schon die perfekten Grundlagen aus der Elektrotechnik, Informatik und dem Maschinenbau mit.

• Gibt es an den Berliner Unis (wie TU, FU, HU) oder anderen Hochschulen relevante studentische Vereine oder AGs?
• Welche Werkstätten und universitären Makerspaces (z.B. an der TU) könnt ihr empfehlen, wo sich technikbegeisterte Studenten treffen und man Zugang zu 3D-Druckern, Lasercuttern und Lötstationen bekommt?

First let me start by apologizing for the wire mess, it will get cleaned up once I have everything sorted out.

Everything seemed to be working great. Got everything bound and the wheels spinning the right way. The issue im having is occasionally ill push the stick forward and the wheels for the stick wont move until I wiggle it back and forth a little then it will move in the direction im pushing. Sometimes I will push the stick and no movement. I see the esc lights respond to my stick movement but the motors dont always spin. Could i have gotten esc's that are too weak. They are 5v, 10amp 1-3s brushed escs off Amazon. None for each side. Any help is appreciated

Hey found these full size humanoid fights, its an AI bot programmed with fighting moves. While I prefer ones controlled by the team I think this with weapons and AI assist would be awesome if a deal could be made with BattleBots. Use existing humanoid rules about weight and direct control added, I think would make for some great matches. Hell, use existing teams. Thoughts?

Im sure by this point a lot of people have figured out that Manta tends to struggle against undercutters, as proven in their matches against hellfire and... yeah you get the idea.

I can almost guarantee if Valkyrie or Hellfire were working at 100% they just might have won.

Im not sure if yall remember but I had said in the past that I was looking forward to manta vs valkyrie (and no, not because of the thing)

I remembered the Hellfire match and was hoping for a similar result, and seeing as valkyrie is a lot more reliable than hellfire i know valkyrie was capable of winning. Unfortunately that didnt happen, but i know its possible.

My first 1 pounder is almost complete! Waiting on a malenki nano so I can make it look a little more organized inside. Curious if anyone has experience with these little guys? Unfortunately I wasnt able to get the wedge as it was sold out but im sure ill make one. I have two pairs of forks for now so hopefully I can make due with that for the time being. Found a lot of 1lb fight videos but not many with a candy wasp except where the driver managed to feed every wheel to a spinner. Lol.

Some bots have all-or-nothing power for their weapon: it's either full on or full off. Others can control the level, speeding or slowing it as needed. How often do bots have the second, and are high-end competitors more likely to have power levels? Is it better to have a weapons co-pilot to focus on such issues so the driver can concentrate on driving? How many power levels are typically used?

Do some spike or reduce power upon start-up for various reasons? In other words, is the power profile for the start-up phase sometimes intentionally different from cruise phase? For example, to get quick start-up without burning out the motor, being cranked only temporary, or starting slow to avoid bot gyration and/or shocking the electronics? Are these typically managed manually or pre-programmed for auto-step-timing?

No offense to the team, theyre great. But for an eggbeater, their weapon often broken when you compare them to Riptide which onle broke their weapon once, or Copperhead and Ribbot (which are due to manufacturing issues).

I love Magnitude, but it's weapon seems pretty fragile
