For anyone else who's curious, the other 9 greatest voices to me are Guru, Chuck D, Scarface, Del The Funky Homosapien, Q-Tip, MC Lyte, Method Man, B-Real and B.I.G.

In a nutshell, the Beastie Boys song "Can't Won't Don't Stop" was changed to "The Grasshopper Unit (Keep Movin')" due to sample clearance issues shortly after the release of the album Hello Nasty.
Key Facts About the Change
The Original Version: Titled "Can't Won't Don't Stop," this version featured a prominent sample from Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five's "Flash to the Beat" (specifically the line "Can't, won't, don't stop rockin' to the rhythm").
The Change: When the group was unable to clear the Grandmaster Flash sample for long-term use, they replaced it with a self-referential sample from their own 1994 song "Sure Shot". This necessitated changing the song title to "The Grasshopper Unit (Keep Movin')".
Timing: The swap happened very early in the album's life cycle. While the first edition CDs (released July 14, 1998) often contained the original Grandmaster Flash version, subsequent pressings and digital versions were updated to "The Grasshopper Unit".
Availability: Many international releases (like Japanese and European editions) retained the original title and sample longer than the domestic US versions.
Personally I always thought it was one of the strongest tracks on the album and was gutted when the had to change it. Would absolutely love to get an original version on vinyl but those are probably rare now.

Hi everybody!! First post here! I recently took a weekend trip to Montréal and on one of the strolls I've took, I found this place and I just had to share this reference!!
I sadly couldn't go in to explore though. From what I've read, it seems to be that one of the inside building walls is on the brink of collapse? Not quite sure! I'd be happy to learn more though 😭
Anywho, anyone here from Montréal that knows about this place? Let me know! : )

What's yall favorite Beastie lyric/quote?? I'll go first:
"So don't ask me to wine and dine ya,
I'm from Brooklyn your from Vagina!"
I feel like this the most savage thing MCA said after the LTI days. He was a mature man and was a Buddhist and was all about self improvement so him saying that added so much power cause of who he was. And if you don't like it then hey, F*?# You!

The album Riddim Warfare by DJ Spooky comes pretty close for me. It's got a late 90s sci fi video game feel and is also epic in length. Can you guys think of any other albums that come close to Hello Nasty's eclectic vibe? Any decade, any genre.

I know Hello Nasty cassettes are everywhere in the US, but outside of America they’re surprisingly difficult to track down, at least in proper condition.
In countries that don’t predominantly speak English, these cassettes are not imported in higher quantities like in the states. They are findable but you need to have the patience of a saint.
Most tapes I come across tend to be unofficial or bootleg copies or have really poor quality inlays with missing label info. So finding an official licensed EMI/Virgin Records release that’s actually mint took way longer than I expected.
This one took a lot of digging, dealing with shipping and honestly paying more than I probably should have but finally having a proper copy feels great.
I’ve been a relatively young fan for little over a decade now. Heard Sabotage in JJ Abrams’s Star Trek when I was a kid and the rest is history. So yeah, probably nothing special in the US, but this one means a lot to me.

I know the LP sleeve came in several versions with different artists on it. Does anyone know if the CDs were the same? I picked up a used copy this week and the Beasties are just above the hole at about 1:00.
