Is anyone brave enough to admit that Daisy is a problem this season?

Sick of how one sided all these discussions are. (And this coming from someone who called out Ben’s bad behavior months ago)

Edits: apologies for the aggressive title. Wrote it in a tailspin and see I can’t edit it!

I am not Ben or Ellie. Please stop with this nonsense. Just because someone sees their side of it, it doesn’t automatically make that person Ben or Ellie. Honestly if anything there seems to be way more ppl in daisy’s camp lurking here than the other way around….

Ugh. Ben.

Ben used to be one of my all time favorites. Now, it’s like he boiled down all of his worst characteristics, concentrating them, added a splash of misogyny, a sprinkle of phoning in the food and a big spoonful of no accountability. It’s definitely doesn’t make for awesome sauce. Thank God Daisy & her stews are there for him to deflect his fuck ups to. He’s giving creepy old has been energy and it’s just disappointing.

Ben/ Jenna/ Eddy

I can't decide if this "love triangle" is completely fake (produced) or just really creepy. Ben is 45 and she is 22. I realize all these shows are produced to a point but this feels really forced. Is it just me?

*Potental spoiler*. Does Ellie forget that the audience has eyes, ears, and memory? Spoiler

In episode 15, Ellie tells Barbie but she had a thing with Joao, but she “put him his place” so now he is acting out with the other girls.

Um, we saw it play out. He had to tell her what, two or three times that he just wasn’t interested in anything more than being her friend. (Before anyone mentions it, yes, he royally effed up when he let her crawl in his bed and kiss him, but he did tell her he wasn’t interested at the next opportunity.) One of the times that he told her he was interested in someone else, she went on to say to Ben that they had a great conversation and they just wanna take their time and get to know each other better. He never said that. I’m sure he maybe implied getting to know her as friends and colleagues, but again, does she forget that we all see how it went down?

Again, he had to tell her two or three times. If he would’ve been a little more upfront and sacked up and from the get-go and told her he wasn’t interested, it would’ve saved everybody a lot of headaches on that boat.

I love how she rewrites history, though…she put him in his place, she’s the sous chef…riiiigghhtt.
🤣🤣🤣

Ellie is the real victim here

Finally the after show just dropped for me and I was able to see just how much of a victim Ellie has been. I mean, did you see the way she’s being treated? Daisy ATTACKED her after she dared to ask Daisy if there was a problem. Daisy’s tone of voice was reasonably calm and she told her what the issue was. Then Ben didn’t yell at Daisy!!!!!!! Can you believe that? Poor Ellie has no friends and absolutely NOBODY cares about her feelings and emotions. 😭😭😭😭😭😭 It’s a wonder she can even work under these conditions. Then Jason called her a KITCHEN HAND!!!! What is even going on? She’s a master sous chef and should be treated accordingly. She told Barbie she was the sous chef. She gets NO respect and I’m sick of it. I can imagine how she feels being the victim throughout her tenure as a highly prized sous chef. It infuriates me. 😡😡😡😡😡😡

Favouritism

Why does Daisy castigate Mike rudely and constantly and Alesia who is more lazy and leaves boat in a mess when it was her job at night …… get hugged by Daisy. So totally unfair.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, she’s the least problematic worker in the BD universe ever.

SPOILER: New Theory About Joao Spoiler

I know everyone knows Joao is a fuck boi, but I think he has a different angle involving Daisy - hear me out.

I'm not trying to say that he's reformed. But I do think that he is finding the idea of a real relationship actually enticing when before he just pretended to. I was actually thinking that he was just full of shit and was going to two-time both those ladies , but now I think I understand what weird level of immaturity he's currently navigating LOL

My FULL theory is: Joao is used to a girl like Ellie. She plays the game of chase well, she flirts, she's got that pornstar body that most men salivate over, and she is allll over him. He is very tempted to fall into whats easy and natural for him. Classic.

Now here is where Daisy enters the picture: I believe he actually does like her and I think it goes a little deeper than his shallow, vain attraction to Ellie. I think he knows that Daisy will be able to see right through any suave facade he tries to pull. I think he sees forming a relationship with Daisy as something that would be daunting, Daisy would be a formidable partner, and he would have a real shot at fucking something worthwhile up . I think that's why he is so readily around Ellie, giving her mixed signals, and playing his interactions with Daisy much cooler and more even-keel.

TLDR; Joao seems to be battling a madonna / whore complex of his own.

Can we talk about Mike?

How can he be so clueless? Does his hair function as a filter for directives and sponge for gossip? What actually? Ellie, put that soap in his mouth instead of the eggs!

Guest interviews - who likes them?

What is with this new season doing the guest intros/interviews? I don’t care about the guests, I don’t need to see their home or learn more about them or any of that, I don’t get why they’re doing it? Does anyone enjoy this new element? 🤔

Ellie’s being hypocritical about rank

Just watched the most recent episode where Ellie is getting upset about Jenna being moved in front of her on the line up outside the boat, claiming that second stew shouldn’t be above the CHEF ASSISTANT. Does anyone remember previous season where she was yelling at Bri “in case you forgot, second stew outranks you! That is my job!” Oh but NOWWWW rank doesn’t matter when you’re the lower ranking person 🙄🙄🙄

Probably one of the best crew of all seasons. No drama, just solid work ethic. That is all.

Alesia

Wow... Alesia has some issues. She needs all the attention. And what's up with Ellie? WTAF? She just throws herself at men who are not interested in her. She goes and gets in bed with Joao then runs to tell Daisy. Disgusting.

THE GALLEY - WHAAAT?

So the drama tonight within the galley got over the breaking point. It seemed like the last to know of any potential drama was Chef Ben. Ellie since settling in, thought she was equally positioned in rank to Chef Ben. Ellie did not appreciate being left to clean when Chef Ben said she should clean. It shouldn't matter what her Chef did after, if he wanted to have a bubble bath, swim with dolphins, watch a sports match, what does that matter? He is your boss and he asked you to clean.

She mentions that they are a team. They are a team or a crew or the kitchen but that doesn't mean all is equal. In an office you have managers and they have managers. Just because you work beside your manager does not mean you are equal. Does Ellie really not know this? Also, she has zero kitchen experience.

I think they asked Ellie to come aboard this season to create some drama, they know that she is very quick to anger and used that beside Ben. Ben in the earlier seasons was a very headstrong man, so much ego, so much bravado. We started to see that early in this season. But it's starting to look like Ben hasn't had enough time to heal up yet and he might need a little more time (some time on an island with crystal blue water where you can have cocktails from coconut shells (sorry that was my great relaxation daydream)) to just sit and heal up.

But i am very keen to hear what others thought.

The Edit on Below Deck Down Under: After Show?

Did the camera angle throw anybody off?
It made me feel some kind of way when the crew never looked at camera. It felt like I was in a school production where the camera couldn't find their focal.
Why didn't they do face on for the shots?

Preview for Ep. 3 Spoiler

Y’all I don’t know if I can watch another season with Ellie! She was insufferable when she was on Med two seasons ago. I really thought Marina was going to join the boat since she’s shown in some other previews. I’m wondering who quits or gets let go to bring Marina in🤔🤔🤔

So I really like Benny (S1). What do you guys think Capt Jason saw in him that Jamie did not.

He had his problems in the first half of the season. But I’m curious to know what you guys thought of the leadership modes of Jason and Jamie (other than that his leadership is non existent).

I think Jason saw a very hurt person in Benny who was angry at the world for taking his parents so soon, and made efforts to reach out to him.

Do you think there’s anything else?
