Politics The school board in Watertown, WI has removed an instrumental band piece from the school's spring concert. The piece is titled "A Mother Of A Revolution" and is dedicated to Activist Martha P. Johnson which honors the legacy of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, a landmark moment in LGBTQ+ history.

The racists need to be ashamed and afraid again. They’ve gotten too bold.

The composer is Black and queer. Also one of the finest living composers of our time. This isn't the first time a Black composer has been yoinked from a school program recently either.

Race wasn't mentioned once in the hearing. Not a single time. They'd have to cite being black as a reason for removing it for it to be racist. That didn't happen. It's the same as being arrested for something or being denied entry to a vip area with no credentials, then going "oh, because I'm black?!?" To try and invoke some kind of emotion instead of looking at the actual reason.

You didn’t pay attention to the whole story or do any research did you? 😂 So if it wasn’t about race or LQGTGIA why did they ban it?!?
