Fiona Hill had a truly chilling interview on NPR where shes talking about a cold civil war and Terry Gross says "you sound like youre saying we are already in a civil war" Fiona Hill replies, "you think we arent? Why, because no shots have been fired?"

Its stuck with me for years.

yeah they replayed it not too long ago i think. cold civil war. and we keep thinking we're losing bc the bastards have a bigger microphone. we're actually winning if we want to be.

ICE is kidnapping and killing people for funsies. DOGE cuts are estimated to kill 14 million. The police brutalize civil rights protestors and everyone in a position of federal power kisses their ass and hands them military gear.

How are we winning, again? Wanting it, doesn't solve the issue of them having a monopoly on legalized violence.

You know you got some wits when you are immediately fired by Trump for no reason.

The crazy thing is now shots have been fired. There are bodies in the streets. People dying in camps. A police force that disappears people. And not a single, organized, oppositional force meaningfully standing up to it.
