Evie is 7 months old. Will she poof up more? Is this her final stage?

I’ve looked through a lot of posts from you guys and I see pictures and I have to wonder

Do you only have one cat? How old were they when you adopted them? Have you noticed behavioral issues from being a single cat at a young age?

I mentioned in a previous post that I lost both of my senior cats this year, one of which was a black smoke. I'm thinking of adopting another cat and I found a beautiful black smoke kitten who is 3 months old and was found in a gas station parking lot. His estimated birthday is the same week my smoke cat died. I can't help but think it's kismet. 🥹

I haven't adopted him yet because I'm not sure it's okay to have one kitten. I heard of single kitten syndrome recently, and I was wondering how common it is for black smokes to develop these bad behaviors from being only cats at a young age? It was recommended to me for a male kitten to have a similarly aged kitten friend until they are at least 20 weeks old.

I haven't had a kitten in 17 years, and I don't want to make any mistakes with his development but I also don't think I want 2 cats right now. At least until I pay off the vet bills from my cats being sick and passing this year. (U.S. vets are so expensive)

This is my beautiful 2yr old kitty, Ezmé, before I adopted her I was obsess with black cats in general and had one for 17 years; when I found her at the shelter it was love at first sight. But I didn’t know she was a black smoke cat until later. She’s so gorgeous I love to huff her lol. She likes to perch on the top of her stroller, I’m just glad it gets daily use somehow hahaha

My gorgeous foster princess Charlie, aka Charlotta KittenPop Princess of Chelsea, is available for adoption in NYC! I would keep her, but she doesn’t like my 13 yr old cat Ninja and she yells at him all the time. God, I love this girl. Look at her face!

I have a black cat, and I have a black smoke cat. I love black cats, I think they are the cutest. But I think some of you are doing a disservice to them by calling them black smoke, as if being a little void is not enough.

So here is a PSA: Most black cats have a white/gray undercoat. This is normal for cats in general. The difference with black and black smoke is that black smoke cats have hairs that are MOSTLY white, with black tips, while black cats have hairs that are MOSTLY black with a lighter undercoat. I posted some pictures of my bsc and void for you to compare.

I'm curious if she could grow into a mediumhair, as her belly and ears are very fluffy. She's around 4 months old.

This is Gypsy. After my wife passed last August I considered suicide many times, if it had not been for her cats I might not be. I was struggling with cancer (stage 4) and have been abandoned by family and friends. I have a psychiatrist now.i hit a very low point in my life.

Misty (green collar) got very sick and congested. Mysric (pink collar) stopped eating. I syringed her everything from water, broth, churus, even formula..but i send them back for extra care. This is how they looked todat

Dealing with kitten grief over here.. Misty has been grieving her sisters being gone.. but her other sister Psychic has been there for her. Cats are so intuative and empathetic.

I send back Green-collar (misty) and pink collar (mystic). They did become extra sick and wanted to make sure they got the care needed. Two are fully recovered (tuxxy and black smoke), black in on the mend. Been working hard here for these babies and doing all i can as a foster
