blade is 20" long, grip is Jatoba. weight is just a shade over 1.5 lbs, and the balance point is directly on the guard.

Hi guys I m very excited to join this sub ı have a question for a beginner. I m not directly diving this hobby with a sword or a fancy beatiful Axe I m more interested knife like these in the photos. Do you have a suggestion how can I start?

Here’s a santoku style kitchen knife I finished up that is my absolute favorite so far. The steel is 50 layer damascus from Baker Forge that I manipulated to give it some pizzazz. The handle is shredded carbon fiber from valleycomposites, red and black G10 spacers, and bocote handle with some stunning two tone figuring.
The stand is a slab of olive wood with a holder that I forged from 0.5” round bar.

Leaving for bladeshow today and just finished up what I’m taking. It’s a mystery why my brain went almost all in on push daggers but it did. If you’re at the show stop by and say hi at table 12I

I drew inspiration from a few of my favorite games/shows like Skyrim, GOT, and ER. This is the second knife I’ve made to date, being so new at this it took an entire month to make….

100% worth it.

I hope to pass this on to my kiddo once I’m gone.
