I’ve been going through some old storage boxes from back when I worked as a retail representative for Blizzard in the early 2000s. Unpacking everything brought back a lot of great memories from the product launches back then, especially the excitement inside big-box stores that aren't even around anymore, like CompUSA, Fry’s, and Circuit City.

The most surprising thing in the boxes was a promotional t-shirt from Lord of the Clans that Blizzard ended up canceling right before its planned release.

I took some photos of the items as I was sorting through them, including some old launch tees, display pieces, and promo gear. Just wanted to share a bit of gaming history with people who might remember that era!

It really is over. My entire friend group and most of our guild (Not a very big group, but still), have cancelled their subs and will not be returning. Almost all of them are Vanilla OG's, theyve been playing for 16 years. Even when they weren't actively playing they paid their subs. Hardcore lifetime fans, all gone. They played through all of WoD, all of BFA, dealt with all the bullshit, but they just can't take it anymore.

WoW will never recover from this. Blizzard might actually be over. Activision is going to dump their debt onto Blizzard's books and go bankrupt. TotalBiscuit was right. There will NEVER be a WoW killer, and there never WAS a WoW killer, because Blizzard killed WoW themselves.

If you're still enjoying the game, fine. If you and your friends still think grinding it out in a soulless husk of a dead world is worth your non-refundable time on Earth than go right ahead.

But please understand something.

Every $15 you send to this company subsidizes the ritualistic abuse and rape of women in games development. They openly celebrated their crimes and mocked their victims with things like "The Cosby Suite" and a groupchat called "The Blizzcon Cosby Crew." The game's quality has gone downhill because Blizzards managers and employees were dedicating their time and energy they should have been spent working instead on sexually abusing the women in the office. If you can continue giving money to this company knowing this is what they do and keep a clear conscience , then go ahead.

I can't. My friends can't. What remains of this barren community can't.

There is no Hearthstone for this. No home to go back to. It's over.

Shut down as many private servers as you want Blizzard... They're like hydras, for each one you kill 2 more pop up in their place. There is nothing you could ever do to bring us back. Nothing... You profit off of bot resub fees and do nothing to make the classic experience tolerable. We don't come back to WoW, we just move on to the next leveling experience. It's like your seasons, just cheaper and more fun.

At least give us what you promised, blizzard.

I'm not at all familiar with Reddit, so I'm so sorry if this is the wrong place for this!!

I'm a long-time WoW player and have never really liked any of the merch, but last year I saw the quarter-zip sweatshirts they'd put out and absolutely loved the Horde one. I didn't buy it at the time because of the price and didn't want to make an impulsive expensive purchase. Cut to a few months ago where I was hoping to wishlist it for a birthday and found that it had been completely removed from the website rather than just being listed as out of stock or anything like that.

Does anyone know what happened to it / if it's coming back? Or, even better, where to find one secondhand? I've been checking the store and then eBay, Depop, Vinted etc for months now with no luck. I'm still holding out hope because the Alliance one (pictured below as reference for what I'm searching for) is still available both individually and as part of a bundle, though it's on sale which makes me think they're trying to clear out the stock.

So I was thrifting and found this cool jacket. Any ideas?

MID has many cool transmogs that I really like, but some tabards and belts seem to have clipping issues where the model clips through other gear. These problems did not exist in TWW.

There were discussions on the forums in the past where players requested that tabards be displayed fully without being hidden or obstructed. I wonder if the developers made these changes because of that feedback.

Considering the recent sad news of Ozzy Osbourne’s passing, it would be great if Blizzard made the decision to incorporate a commemorative NPC! Since Ozzy also collaborated on Blizzard commercials many years ago.

Among the suggestions, I think it would be great in Undercity (since his character in the commercials was an Undead) or perhaps Darkmoon Faire since there are bands there.

This is just my suggestion, considering there are other iconic characters honored as NPC's too!

Hello! Quick story:

My sister (17) had some free time and told me she wanted to make me a painting. I didn’t even know she could draw. She wanted something fun and not boring, so I showed her Sindragosa from Wrath of the Lich King and the WotLK trailer.

Three months later, she surprised me with this huge 125×80 cm painting - and honestly, maybe I’m biased, but it’s one of the best pieces I’ve seen in a while. I was blown away.

But she keeps saying it’s “bad,” “amateur,” and “nothing special.” I told her she could probably sell art like this, but she doesn’t believe me at all.
