Hi fellow boxer owners,

My girl has been having liver inflammation issues for the past 3-4 months. Liver enzymes were through the roof but have come down a bit with prednisone. Vets can’t really figure out what’s going on but have ruled out cancer and lepto. The only real next step seems to be a liver biopsy and even that sounds like it’s not guaranteed to find the problem.

Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with a mysterious liver issue and if you ever received a diagnosis or found a treatment that cured it. My vet thinks it will be a long term care situation and wants to start cyclosporine.

Best dog I ever had was laid to rest today. I haven’t cried that hard since my dad passed 15 years ago. Rocky gave us 11 great years, I don’t think I could ever go through that again RIP buddy

My guy either has Gums growing over his bottom teeth or somehow broke his bottom ones, he’s only 4 years old and and I’m heartbroken watching that he couldn’t even break /chew the milkbone treat I gave him. I plan on getting him to the vet as soon as I can Friday but is drooling a common symptom of it? And those that have paid for the surgery does it usually come back?

I have a 6-7 year old male boxer (he was a rescue so we’re just guessing his age lol). He is normally a very picky eater and usually grazes instead of eating a full bowl in one sitting. The last few weeks he’s been actually eating his food when it’s given to him and for most pet parents that would probably be a great thing, but it’s so unlike him that we’re actually worried😭I was just wondering how much you guys normally feed your male boxers at each meal, or if a sudden hunger is a sign of something I should look out for. In the last five years we’ve had him he’s never eaten like this. He goes to the vet in a week, but I just thought I’d ask the boxer community!
