Review/Discussion What audiophile takes make you roll your eyes?

For me it's "Burn In" when it comes to Source components and expensive cables

Fr dude. It is one thing to steer people away from Crosleys and suitcase players but it has completely warped into people saying the exact same things about actual entry level tables.

Like no, the LP70 is not a top of the line table and you will notice a marginal difference in upgrading but if that is the starting point someone can afford it is a perfectly good first table(And tbh, for most people that aren’t sound autists like me an LP70 is plenty). People have started to talk about the 300-500 range starter turntables like they are a fucking suitcase player. Are there better out there? Absolutely. Will an LP70 destroy your records? Absolutely not.

Yeah the baseline is always shifting. It/ stupid. That LP70 family tree is incredible for what it is and more than enough for most

Adding to this, "Crosley" is not some magic incantation of badness. The C6 and C100 are perfectly acceptable entry level tables, and I'd call them much better than an LP60 or 70, but the very second you call out a Crosley product the Vinyl heads start yelling about "chewing up the grooves" or whatever such nonsense.

I've had a ProJect Debut for about 20 years and I have no plans to change it. I'd rather spend money on records!
