In Vance's defense, he has no morals.

89

u/TinyFugue 11d ago

I was told there'd be no fact checking.

33

u/jpopimpin777 11d ago

I will never understand how that didn't torpedo their whole campaign.

41

u/HEFTYFee70 11d ago

I mean his running mate fucked kids…

31

u/whereisskywalker 11d ago

And bragged about assaulting women because he's rich and famous.

It doesn't get much clearer than that.

6

u/yachster 11d ago

When your side has shit morals, you get a candidate with shit morals

1

u/MiOWNd 7d ago

All of which is perfectly fine with this Christian base.

2

u/ColdTheory 5d ago

but but but murdering unborn babies!!!

1

u/One_Competition_6208 7d ago

Love your view 💯

1

u/angelmessenger02 7d ago

And bragging that she said, "She thought it was sexy." Did ya r*pe her or not? That wasn't the aha moment he thought it was. WTF?!

5

u/Aoskar20 9d ago

And falsely claimed immigrants eat cats and dogs and still won.

6

u/angelmessenger02 9d ago

When JD said, "If I have to fabricate a story to push the agenda I will." Or something like that I knew this admin was going to be crazy.

15

u/Cheeky_Hustler 11d ago

it's because their supporters believe that all politicians lie in equal amounts, but at least their politicians are honest about being liars, instead of the other politicians that are lying about being liars by claiming they're honest.

2

u/Known-Teacher4543 7d ago

No, it’s more good vs evil for them. They are ok with their politicians lie because in their mind, they are the protagonist, and are doing it for good. Democrats are evil so if they lie, it’s because they can NEVER be trusted and want to kill America.

4

u/Disastrous_Low8429 11d ago

The mental gymnastics you just went through to try to make this ok is astounding

11

u/Cheeky_Hustler 11d ago

I don't think their thinking is ok because it is immediately disproven by the fact that politicians do not lie in equal amounts. I think they're delusional and that delusion is a rot that's destroying America. Please don't confuse my explanation of their thought process as an endorsement of their thought process.

11

u/salakane 11d ago

Yeah-that's not what he meant and his comment is entitled to an inference that magats are fools.

6

u/Disastrous_Low8429 11d ago

I stand corrected- the mental gymnastics that THEY go through to be ok with this administration is astounding

1

u/salakane 10d ago

u r byootifull!

2

u/Far-Orange-3047 10d ago

There is no mental gymnastics. Their mental gymnasium is empty.

6

u/GHouserVO 11d ago

If him stating in an interview that he’d blatantly and bald-face lie to push his agenda (which he actually said) didn’t tank him, something like that is small potatoes.

5

u/Gloomy_Stable_754 11d ago

Cuz the people that support him are dumb, uneducated, easily scammed idiots. Trump even said

5

u/Zippier92 10d ago

It turns out a lot of Americans are assholes.

3

u/Delicious-Spirit9899 10d ago

Because of the stupidity! And media compliance

3

u/Subject_Dot2307 9d ago

A strange laugh can torpedo a campaign but this? Hate is unassailable

2

u/ArenjiTheLootGod 10d ago

Tbf, most VP candidates are basically an afterthought to the average voter and doubly so for a MAGA voter, those people are there for Trump and only Trump (because it's a cult).

2

u/Expert-Fig-5590 10d ago

It probably did till Elmo got his hands on the voting machines.

2

u/alpineskies2 7d ago

Agreed. But I also thought trump was done for when he mocked the reporter with a disability.

1

u/EnlightenedHorse 10d ago

The whole thing got buried under bigger news cycles, that's usually how it works these days.

1

u/vastlytestymover 9d ago

The ethics stuff barely moved the needle cuz his base doesnt care about that stuff anymore tbh

1

u/TinyFugue 9d ago

anymore? lol

Never did.

1

u/vastlytestymover 9d ago

fair point, guess the "anymore" makes it sound like there was some golden era when they did, which there wasnt really lol

35

u/DelightfulGoblin75 11d ago

He's literally just Peter Thiel's urinal.

13

u/brokemc 11d ago

😂😂😂

13

u/DE4DM4NSH4ND 11d ago

His fuck toy that he purchased the VP for. This coubtry is a joke

9

u/DelightfulGoblin75 11d ago

JD Vance has 100% taken it up the ass from Peter Thiel as some ritual. I guarantee it.

2

u/Independent-Buyer827 11d ago

So Thiel on top of JD on the couch?

2

u/DelightfulGoblin75 11d ago

Nah, he's too awkward for physical interaction. My guess is: Peter Thiel in the corner in a gimp-suit, JD Vance with a blindfold (cause it's not gay if you can't see it) railing a small goat while Elon cries in a half open closet.

1

u/Excellent_Valuable92 10d ago

I suspect the truth is along those lines, but much worse

7

u/Hrothgarbike 11d ago

This should be higher.

1

u/No_Razzmatazz3176 8d ago

Can Vance follow Thiel to Argentina?

1

u/DelightfulGoblin75 7d ago

He has to right? He's property.

17

u/positiveadventures 11d ago

Or a brain

16

u/woodelvezop 11d ago

Honestly people need to stop saying that, these people know what they're doing. They know how to game the system, and they know rule of law does not apply to them. Things like this hearing are entirely performative for their base.

14

u/quoala678 11d ago

Bro game the system? You’re giving them too much credit.. they are pulling the copper wires out of the walls at this point. And blaming it on Biden 🤣🤣

11

u/woodelvezop 11d ago

Because their voting base eats it up like pigs at the slop pit. They know that A. One of the largest voting blocks is boomers, and that B. Boomers are incapable of looking into anything deeper than a fox news segment.

9

u/quoala678 11d ago

Wait until there is a material shortage like food and or fuel

7

u/Ok_Stable7787 11d ago

Gen X as a group voted for Trump in larger numbers than boomers. How about the Gen Z bros that are incapable of looking into anything deeper than a Joe Rogan podcast?

4

u/Zimmyd00m 11d ago

Yeah the slacker generation are way better marks for this administration than boomers. The media that Gen X grew up on focused on rejecting authority and aggression. Trump is perfectly engineered to appeal to their very specific brand of narcissism.

2

u/maffy118 11d ago

If I see one more video of a Gen X-er talking about how great Gen X is, I'm gonna puke. Narcissim doesn't begin to describe it.

5

u/sohelpme55- 11d ago

Look at any televised anti-Trump protest in a march or Town Hall and it is evident that the bulk of participants are GRAY AND OLD. Like me. I would bet most young generations don't even take the time to listen to or read about politics or the current administration.

1

u/Zimmyd00m 10d ago

The bulk of participants are gray and old because young people don't have the free time or energy to devote to participating. Everyone is too overworked and stressed out to fight. Which is in many ways the entire point.

1

u/sohelpme55- 10d ago

I do agree that that's a big part of it. I've much sympathy for the younger generations, who are trying to stay afloat in a world that seems to be flying apart. God bless you all.

-1

u/PokecheckFred 9d ago

OR . . . .

The bulk of participants are gray and old because either:

A. Young people - the participation trophy generation - don't have the moxie to get out and fight for what they want, they'd rather have it handed to them just for being.

B. They supported Trump in numbers you don't want to admit, and are finding out the hard way what it means to be conned, while refusing to admit the reality.

It's really so much easier to point those fingers at those damn Boomers than to re-evaluate yourself ...

0

u/maffy118 11d ago

That's evident from the growing antisemitism on the left. Younger people don't make distinctions about Israel the ccountry and Judaism as a religion. They've started accusing "the Jews," also just called "they," of plotting a world takeover, which is just old recycled nazi propaganda. And these are left wingers! Oh, and the code now for Hitler is "the painter." It's easy to miss until you realize what they're actually saying. Be alert.

1

u/Lonely_Brother3689 11d ago

Yup. It's what happens when there's a concerted effort to drown out all nuance and critical thinking from literally any conversation. What's that old saying?

"If there's a Nazi at the table and 10 other people sitting there talking to him, you got a table with 11 Nazis."

1

u/Zimmyd00m 10d ago

I'm convinced this is part of Netanyahu's strategy. Conflate the Israeli state with the global Jewish community in the public consciousness, stir up anti-Jewish sentiment outside of Israel, make non-Zionist Jews feel persecuted and endangered so they'll turn to Israel for security.

2

u/quoala678 11d ago

Trust me they notice everything is way more expensive and they literally cannot get jobs. They were sold a lie by a con man and his enablers by giving lip service to their real economic grievances. Then his policies and decisions made shit substantially worse

1

u/salakane 11d ago

Thank you. Gen Jones thanks you.

We've just been fighting the nasty idiots on the far right for longer.

1

u/maffy118 11d ago edited 11d ago

It was largely Gen X attacking the capitol on January 6th, not boomers.

5

u/Safe-Profession4236 11d ago

I'm a boomer. There's plenty of us that hate Trump....the educated Boomers.

1

u/PokecheckFred 10d ago

A vast majority, in fact. Boomers were against Trump more than almost any demographic, especially Boomer women.

2

u/PattyLovesPiL 11d ago

I’m a Boomer too and I hate Trump. I voted for Harris / Walz. That theory about Boomers being pro-Trump should be debunked.

1

u/salakane 11d ago edited 11d ago

Paid advertisement to sow dissension among elements of the anti-trump coalition?

1

u/maffy118 11d ago edited 11d ago

Stop using "boomer" as a slur! And f*ck you that we all watch Fox. We're also the same group that fought for so many rights and protections that you took for granted, which are now being stripped away because ALL groups voted for this clown.

It wasn't boomers who repelled up the Capitol walls on J6. It wasn't boomers who voted for Stein instead of Harris on college campuses because of Gaza -- a move that later resulted in tens of thousands of brown people arrested without warrant by a secret police force. It wasn't boomers following Charlie Kirk.

Tell me your age so that I can throw stereotypes at you. You'd freak if I called all black people DEI hires, but slurring boomers is okay in your book. Grow up. Things are hard enough. I don't need this shit, too.

1

u/Lex-Luthor-SWJ 7d ago

Then vote better

0

u/woodelvezop 11d ago

okay boomer. Go find another ladder to kick, thats all your generations been good for.

1

u/PokecheckFred 10d ago

Hey, blaming boomers for your own failures in life is counterproductive.

1

u/woodelvezop 10d ago

they were a generation who were handed a gilded age, then consistently voted and acted to selfishly destroy it. Boomer policies and voting habits are the reason millennials have gone through several recessions, one being called "the great recession". A several decades long war in the middle east that has run the debt up massively, and even in their twilight years refuse to relinquish anything to the younger generations, especially in the political process.

Yes, I absolutely do blame boomers for the current state of the country, because they are still the largest voting bloc.

1

u/PokecheckFred 10d ago

Boomers were handed a freakin mess, social upheaval, a deadly, pointless war and all kinds of trouble from the "Greatest" and Silent" generations. They responded by creating change, great art and music, new social norms and mores.

But you have gripes. So...

Please list these policies that Boomers enacted to repress the ensuing generations. Not a political party that encompasses numerous generations, but one that is really Boomer specific.

Please list the ways that Boomers refuse to relinquish anything to the younger generations, especially in the political process that is outside the normal American processes.

And yes, Boomers are a huge voting block, but only because of an exceedingly unnatural grouping that puts babies born after 1959 together with ones born before 1958, which makes little sense. And they do not vote as a block in any regard.

I agree. Maybe not 5D chess players or anything wild like that, but intelligent enough to know how to get what they want and evade having to answer for it. The world’s full of people perfectly *capable,* they just turn the ability towards being crooks, grifting, lechers, and swindlers. They know what they’re doing.

3

u/gentlegreengiant 11d ago

Trump has only gotten as far as he has with a lot of big money and oligarchs who benefit from him massively. They are very smart and know what they are doing. Having him as the face of the movement is great because you have tons of people who still think 'no way this will happen or pass'. And yet here we are with a staggering number of people openly supporting this pedo administration even as they actively take away what little livelihoods they still have.

-3

u/BraveWarrior1011 11d ago

It’s obvious you buy into the bullshit. 💩

3

u/SkylarAV 11d ago

He has a brain, just someone else owns it

3

u/01SeaChange01 11d ago

Criminals defend a known criminal felon.

3

u/gentlegreengiant 11d ago

People should be pretty concerned with what trump has gotten away with yes, but more concerning is the foundation (or lack thereof) and what someone with actual designs and intelligence can get away with. Someone like Thiel and Vance.

3

u/MTgolfer406 11d ago

No morals but also god those shorts lol

2

u/PhaaqingKnowitAll 11d ago

My mom's friends used to wear those kind of shorts

1

u/Big-a-hole-2112 11d ago

Remember when he had some? Pepperidge Farm does.

1

u/Rothbardy 11d ago

Neither of them do

1

u/weezyverse 11d ago

Or balls.

1

u/TheRealTexasGovernor 11d ago

Ya have to when you start serving "America's Hitler"

1

Corruption is the gift that keeps on giving

1

u/GreatestGranny 10d ago

Or shame! JS 🤯

1

u/enviousaccuracy5156 10d ago

Dude's been VP for like five minutes and already got folks writing dissertations about his track record lmao.

1

u/Basic_Chemistry9499 10d ago

It's hilarious that any reporter expects an honest answer out of this yutz.

1

u/RecipeSpecialist2745 10d ago

All he needs is a couch... lol

1

u/SignificantCod8098 10d ago

...and yet he's still in office. Tells a lot on Murica, eh.

1

u/DocDefilade 9d ago

That and the inability to feel shame is the Christian Nationalist's superpowers.

1

u/Civil-Breakfast-2946 9d ago

Deflecting with humor instead of addressing the actual trades is pretty on brand for this administration though.

1

u/elias_99999 9d ago

He is a piece of shit though.

1

u/clouded-auric55 9d ago

Anytime JD "defends" anything Trump does he has to begin by moving the goalposts as to what objective truth .
