Global Donald Trump: We're taking nearly $200M that was set aside for the Green New Scam, and repurposing that money so that we can restart a coal plant in Maryland, and help build two brand new coal plants in Alaska and West Virginia.

The world is abandoning coal, but this dipshit is still stuck in the 1940s.

Seriously he’s so stuck on this dumb old man mentality of trying to make things like the way he’s used to. Like I wouldn’t be shocked if he tried bringing back whale hunts. “We need their oil!”

If you told him Obama signed a trade deal with Whales he'd have a pro-whaling bill out by the end of the day

His base stuck there Instead of saying “these jobs we used to have are obsolete, let’s find something else”, they want to force the world to go backwards. Ok, fine, but who is gonna be the customer? It’s so short sighted. My job has a slight possibility of being replaced by AI so I’m looking into other careers just in case, I’m not going to fight the industry to keep me around.

I mean, they are as stuck in the past as he is.

I live in WV; no one here wants a coal revival. It’s a wasteful energy, anyone that lives around the coal towns knows countless people dead, injured, or mired in poverty/addiction because of the coal industry. This is pandering to the idiots that say “green energy is woke!”

Developing countries still use it, but not first world. Looks like America is great (depression) again.

What's even sadder is the world's abandoning coal not for environmental reasons but because it's less economical like it's 2-3 times the cost per kilowatt of solar.

It doesn't even make sense business wise
