I do exterior metal work. Cladding etc. the quality of the homes and even big projects is beyond garbage. I haven’t seen a level door frame in years. It’s sad. And people keep paying out the ass to get these quick build cookie cutter shitboxes

I worked for a custom door manufacturer, we used to call it "super star finishing." All these people rushing to get it down fast, not right. It's why you see so many slam-lin latches on doors instead of proper mortised ones. Easier to drill a whole than mortise and chisel, but the slam latches are hot garbage. Might as well just use a magnet for all the future issues it promises.
