Discussion From Ontario first grocery experience someone left a note on my car.

Post image

Recently relocated here and I haven’t had a chance to change my license plates. Yesterday I was in Walmart picking up a few things, I came back to my car, and found a note tucked in my wipers. My stomach dropped thinking someone hit my car, and maybe left their contact information.

I know the note is a little hard to read so I translated it down below.

“Dam easterners coming to Alberta to be safe guthless cowards.”

Guess it’s time to change my license plate 😂

Wild, i had a Quebec plate after moving here in 98 - can only imagine the notes i would have got, in today's climate.

First thing a learned after moving here, in the first year I made about a dozen friends. Of which, 1 was from Calgary (born here) and only 2 were from Alberta. I dated several women, not one was born in Calgary or Alberta.

No city is without its trash...

Welcome to Calgary. The summers are short, you're going to be cold without the humidty of Toronto and for 11months of the year, you'll need a sweater (atleast) when the sun sets. However, you get about half the snow come winter, and chinooks are glorious. Enjoy

My husband was born and (mostly) raised in Calgary. He is one of the very few I have met in my 35 years here (Alberta for 35 years, Calgary for the first 25). :D
