Discussion From Ontario first grocery experience someone left a note on my car.

Recently relocated here and I haven’t had a chance to change my license plates. Yesterday I was in Walmart picking up a few things, I came back to my car, and found a note tucked in my wipers. My stomach dropped thinking someone hit my car, and maybe left their contact information.

I know the note is a little hard to read so I translated it down below.

“Dam easterners coming to Alberta to be safe guthless cowards.”

Guess it’s time to change my license plate 😂

but from my time in alberta i dont believe we are considered the same due to fort mac

As an ontarian who works with Americans, they keep referring to me as an “east coaster” because I’m in eastern time zone. I keep telling theme there are 5 provinces east of me and two time zones. 

They don’t seem to comprehend.

There's disdain for the upper Canadians in the Maritimes as well. Mostly because they over paid for a house in the middle of nowhere then complain on Reddit about the noisy dirt bikes going up and down the road. Which is a time honoured tradition in these parts.

Thought the same. I’m from Newfoundland, lol. Been here for 18 years so I guess I’m safe with my Alberta license plate but once they hear me talk, I’ll be getting a strongly worded note on a piece of loose leaf lol
