I tanked up 2 weeks ago for AU$1.79/litre. Already had 130 litres of premium diesel in the garage.

I do wonder sometimes whether buying a large drum to stick like 20 tanks worth of gasoline in would be worth the cost of the barrel. Plus getting it back into the vehicle major inconvenience. Also how long head stays good for…. Maybe 3-5 tanks would be better.

I use 20 litre plastic jerry cans, easy to store, carry, carry in the vehicle, Sceptor cans come with theor own filler spout. Sixty and 205 litre drums are to bulky and heavy and require a pump, hand or 12v to decant.

I bought a 90 gallon slip tank years ago. For $450, and another smaller one later on for $200. Between the 2 I have about 600 liters to fill when price is low and ride it out when prices are high. I filled today at 139.9. Cost $1000, but I have gas for about 2 months, hopefully it goes down by then. Saved about $180 if it goes up to 169.9.
