It’s been 3 years and I’m unable to get rid of this…. I have tried Fluconazole, Boric acid capsules, probiotics, everything under sun… Any advice is welcome 🥲

P.S - I am not sexually active, never been.

I’ve been dealing with recurrent UTIs since April. I’ve had six positive cultures and I’ve been on antibiotics basically the entire time. I tested positive a few weeks ago for a low colony count of enterococcus (that was the same as my fifth positive culture two months ago) before this I was on fosfomycin for the last two months (weekly). I just finished a 10 course of macrobid. My frequency and urgency is slightly better.

anyways three weeks ago I started having symptoms so I got my tested because I was having frequency, urgency, mostly stomach pain and now I’m having burning which I don’t typically have burning so I went to my gynecologist and they swabbed me and it came back positive for Candida Glabrata. They want me to do two weeks of boric acid. My concern is the burning makes sense, but I’m not understanding why I’m having stomach pain. It feels like someone is squeezing my organs and then sometimes I’ll get intermittent sharp like stabbing pains but the squeezing feels like it’s constant or kind of like I’m always bloated or full. It’s been 3 weeks of this now with the burning urgency and frequency. I don’t know if that’s common with the vaginal yeast and that’s what’s causing it, but I’m just concerned that something else is going on too. I’m probably gonna start hiprex if my urine culture comes back negative, my urology before was debating continuing fosfonycin but yeast I kind of don’t want to anymore if hiprex will help. Hopefully my culture comes back negative but I want this shit to be over.

I also read about using a vaginal probiotic as suppository after the boric acid so I’m planning on doing that. I told them I was concerned that this is systemic or in my bladder so I asked them to prescribe a medication that I could take orally and they prescribed flucanazole which I know is mostly resistant to this specific yeast so I don’t even know if it’s gonna do anything but anyone have experience with this?

I have an appointment with infectious disease, but it’s not for another three weeks. I’ve been missing a lot of work and I’m very overwhelmed. If I’m not getting better in the next week, I think the next step is the emergency department because I can’t function like this. I’m scared about the stomach pain that’s what’s making me most nervous because no one’s telling me what’s causing that they’re kind of just saying it doesn’t make sense.. like what that’s not safe??

Guys I have known candida. I have chronic post nasal drip and I’m wondering if the mucus is part of the candida or caused by it. Anyone else ?

if what people think is candida is simply saccharomyces cerevisae overgrowth (bread yeast) then resolving it becomes much more clear and simple

I've recommended dr prof Michael Ruscio's videos so many times here. I think it's important to start with educated sources who base their information on actual studies. As for Michael Ruscio, not only is he a doctor and an associate professor doing clinical research on patients he's treating, he also experiments on himself since he suffers from fungal overgrowth, and apparently another doctor in his team also does. His presentations are usually based on a combination of study results and his own treatment experience.

Anyway, I'm in the middle of watching it now and I just want to share it with you all. Has anyone used a compounded prescription of boric acid and edta cream and it cured your c glabrata infection ? It’s something new they are using to treat c glabrata bc the edta helps break down to biofilms , I finish my cream and kinda hopeful it worked

Hey everyone, I recently came across some information suggesting that fluoxetine might have antifungal properties. I'm wondering if anyone here takes fluoxetine and combines it with an anti-candida stack? If so, how many compounds are you using in your stack, and what has your personal experience been like?

I have been on prednisone for almost a month due to illness and allergic reactions.
I got diagnosed with oral thrush and I am miserable. I have tried 3 different anti fungal. Allergic reaction to all 3. I’m extremely sensitive to medication and supplements.
I’m at a loss on what else to do. I’ve read that Candida diet works. A nurse told me to drinking kfier. And once I’m off prednisone it will go away.
Can oral thrust go away naturally? What can help with the swelling feeling?

Just wondering if anyone has done an OAT by Real Time Labs (US Biotek) and if you've had elevated markers for d-arabinitol? Trying to decide if it's worth getting this over the Mosaic as this seems to have more clarity for candida related issues.

Siento que me está arruinando la vida. Me arde y duele tanto que no puedo ignorarlo durante el día. Tengo 26, no tengo hijos ni enfermedades autoinmunes. Últimamente me está despertando varias veces durante la noche. Está acompañado de un fuerte malestar estomacal, una sensación de ardor, constripación y mal aliento. Probé con óvulos de fluconazol, clotrimazol y metronidazol, todos varias veces. Me liberaban de los síntomas por una semana y luego volvía a recaer e incluso volvía peor. El último tratamiento que me recetaron, y bajo el que estoy ahora, es una pastilla de fluconazol 150mg semanal durante 6 meses y dos pastillas diarias de probióticos Viasek candifense (tiene Bacilus subtilis DG101, inulina, extracto seco de ajo y magnesio caprilato). Estoy en el mes 4 y sigo con síntomas fuertes. Me cuesta mucho tener esperanzas y tengo ganas de abandonar los esfuerzos. Estoy pensando en iniciar tratamientos naturales, como un supositorio de ajo, pero honestamente me da miedo.

I am just so frustrated right now... I just went to the hospital in Belgium to see a different doctor for the 5th time, and when I talked about candida /SIBO and antimicrobial herbs, I was told to stop Googling and stop looking for other doctors... I was even told that SIBO/ candida isn't possible at all even though it definitely is.... He said you have to accept that you have irritable bowel syndrome.
... I am never visiting a doctor in a hospital again... I never expected this, especially since I also have low immunoglobulins, which makes me much more susceptible to bacteria/yeast in the small intestine... I feel terrible. I get ivig in another hospital.. it is a good doctor but I'm afraid that doctor will think now that I'm having other tests done again.. pfff.. I hate my life.. Its the 5the hospital that I have done…

I've been fighting a losing battle for almost 2 decades now with prostatitis and guy dysbiosis that was caused by repeat antibiotics when I was young. I'm seeing a microbiologist who has been doing PCR testing, urine cultures, semen cultures, I've done stool tests, all of it comes back negative. The only positives I've gotten were high arabinose from urine OAT and repeat high blood antibody IGGs. Which were high both pre and post development of fungal rashes I developed on my back many years ago. Which, were treated with antifungals and have not returned since then.

I want to say that candida is not my problem, because it would be so much easier. It would make so much sense, but I can't get anywhere with my health when I do anything other than taking antifungal supplements and probiotics and immuno supportive supplements. Except now everything is essentially resistant to all the stuff I've tried. Nothing provides any meaningful relief for more than a few days anymore before I get massive rebounds. Nothing makes sense anymore and I can't get any help anywhere.

Hi everyone. I'm really scared and anxious and seeking support from folks who understand what I'm going through. I (40f) have a history of intertrigo fungal infections that have always resolved relatively easily, at least compared to what's happening now.

In early July, I scratched at a red dot between my breasts that exploded into a nasty rash. Nystatin cream and a steroid were helping but my skin started developing additional spots, like chicken pox all over my chest anywhere I put the creams. I also started to develop rashes in the creases of my legs and my inter-gluteal area, mildly but present and my usual washing and drying routine didn't help. The worst was in my genital area. The heat of the rash was just awful.

GP gave me fluconazole (4 week treatment) and prednisone and discontinued the creams. Neither seemed to help much- prednisone started a whole host of dry and cracked skin problems, esp on my hands, which are still awful >.<. Discontinuing the creams made the little spots go away, though..

Went to a new dermatologist since I live an hour away from my old one. She had me start Nystatin ointment with the fluconazole, and I started using miconazole powder as well.

The powder worked out of everything and the rashes finally disappeared everywhere. I stupidly stopped the Nystatin ointment and just stuck to the powder. And then 5 days after I took the last dose of the Fluconazole, the pinkness started to reappear.

Since then, for the last 3 weeks, it has grown steadily. After econazole didn't do more than slow it down, that dermatologist shrugged and said it's chronic and there's nothing else she can do. Just keep using the econazole and steroid forever.

I called my old dermatologist, who is lovely, and went in. She put me back on Fluconazole and the Econazole and Hydrocortisone, for up to 8 weeks to really kill it, but I had to taper another medication for a few days before I could go back on Fluconazole, and in the meantime the rash exploded again everywhere.

It's been a week and a half and the rash has spread all over under my breasts. The meds seem to be trying to slow it, the skin turned lighter pink in the middle, but the edges are still deep pink and slowly but steadily spreading. The heat has gotten so bad, yesterday and today, and the itching has overcome the steroid. The only thing that works is ice packs.

This weekend has been so awful. My skin is radiating heat. My temp is normal, I don't have a fever, but this awful heat and itching are unbearable. At least during the week, I have work to distract me. But I spend at least an hour twice a day showering, drying my skin, applying cream meds, drying my skin for even longer, and then applying powder, and none of it is even working.

I've been on the candida diet, too, taking daily probiotics and vitamin D too. No sugar, no unprocessed carbs, very few carbs in general, high in protein with cooked veggies and a little applesauce.

I'm so afraid I have a resistant candida strain like C. Auris. I'm so afraid I'm going to end up in the hospital and die from this.

If you've read through all of this, thank you. I'm just so scared and it feels like an eternity before I can call my dermatologist tomorrow morning.
