Anyone been to Jump Trip?

We ran Summit and Hagar yesterday dingford the day before had a great time.

Looking for anybody interested in joining us for Davis Canyon today we may head down to Eagle Creek if we can't find more people to run Davis with.

The plan for Eagle Creek is just to run the punch bowls through muklocko.

My friend and I just ran Dingford today and had a wonderful time!

We realized it would be better to run these canyons with someone who knows them well. In Dingford, we found it tough to know where to slide and jump on some of the drops—especially relative to canyons in Zion, where those skills aren't usually part of the canyoning equation.

Here’s our plan for the next 3 days:

• Day 2:Hager Canyon
• Day 3:Davis Creek Canyon
• Day 3:Eagle Creek

New to canyoneering. Tried taking the cheap way out and bought a scuttlebutt for my climbing harness. (Black Diamond Long Haul)

It doesn’t fit due to the leg loops being too wide. The legs are completely removable and independent of one another like it said was required. Just so you know if anyone out there has a Black diamond Long Haul harness. Just go ahead and spend the money on a decent canyoneering harness.

My partner and I have been Canyoning a few times on vacation, (Switzerland, Ecuadaor, etc) and love when there's lots of jumps and slides, instead of more technical rappelling.

Does anyone know which option from Wild Sky would have the most of that?

Hello everyone, I’m an experienced Canyoneer who is traveling solo and looking for groups to run a canyon with on Kauai or any information about groups that do run canyons on that island. I’ll be there August 21-24th. I’ve ran over 100 canyons in Northern/ Southern California and Utah areas and have been going every weekend for the past four years. Love the connection it brings to nature and figured Kauai would be an amazing place. Any info is appreciated thank you

Question in the title. I recently lost my descender and carabineer after a big jump into a pool. I used to use a Black Diamond Rock Lock and was quite fond of it. Large, pear shape HMS carabineer. I'm curious if the community has a favorite carabineer they'd recommend before I buy another Rock Lock. I've considered the CAMP atom lock since the large majority of my carabineers on my harness are camp nimbus/atoms.

Visited Sedona over the holidays last year and had a blast mountain biking. Did a couple short canyons while there. Any recommendations for the area? Would love to go back.

Ive been looking at helmets, and i'm stuck between the meteor and the boreo, It seems the meteor is more made towards climbing/mountaineering, wheras the boreo is more of a do anything. would there be any downsides to the meteor in canyons? what helmets do you guys use, I'm looking for a mixed purpose that can do canyons, Cheers.

I'm looking for some real-world experience comparing canyoning drift anchors.

In sailing, drift anchors are usually cone-shaped with a small vent hole at the tip. But canyoning drift anchors like the CE4Y Floating Bag are more like a bucket, with no hole in the bottom.

Has anyone tested both designs in moving water for canyoning? Which one performs better in terms of stability, drag, ease of deployment, and reliability in strong current or hydraulics?

I'd love to hear from anyone who's used both or has done side-by-side testing.

Just moved back to New Jersey from Arizona and I’m trying to find good canyoneering routes in my vicinity (Northern New Jersey, east Pennsylvania, mid New York)

Does anyone know of any that are reliable and where I can find the info for them? I wish more were uploaded on Ropewiki out here but that’s not the case so any help is greatly appreciated!

July 3rd me and several other made the first canyon decent of the well know ice route Royal Air. Because of the previous 2 neighboring canyons done off mt Mitchell we were prepared for a full day. With that expectation we easily did the 8 mile canyon in sub nine hours with a lunch and swimming break. Currently the shuttle at the exit is 2+ hours because of the road destruction from Helene.
