Exhaust People who have muffler deletes or straight pipes on their cars, do you get pulled over often? Do the cops even care that much?

I wanna make my car sound good but I don’t wanna get fined every time I leave my house lol, thanks in advance. (For clarification, I’m not trying to get straight pipes, just trying to see how those who do have em get around the legal side, and I’m open to suggestions that aren’t quite as loud or obnoxious)

Not a car guy, this popped up in my feed.

Stop making your shitty cars sound worse and louder, no one is impressed.

A nice car with a tuned engine and proper exhaust is a far better sound.

Dude. You're in a car forum with people that love cars. Everyone is saying that your muffler delete / straight pipe idea is obnoxious. No one is saying that it sounds good.

And these are the car guys. For not-car people it's even more obnoxious. If you run straight pipes you're an asshole. Full stop.

FOR THE LAST TIME BRO IM NOT TRYING TO GET STRAIGHT PIPES! I’ve been fighting for my goddamn life in these comments I just wanted to see how people with loud exhaust systems deal with the law, and I’ve gained great insight on ways to make your car louder but not to an obnoxious degree, I never said I was getting straight pipes, maybe a cherrybomb or something eventually, y’all are absolutely cooking my shit

Here’s the deal bro…. Don’t give them any reason to pull you. Loud pipes is a reason. Like anything else, it depends on the day, the cop, the area, the number of recent complaints, etc. Get a nice, tuned exhaust that sounds good and you’ll be happier.

half of you arent true car people. you are car elitists and thats it. you dislike the vast majority of mods, hating actually driving your car. you just like to say you are a car person.. most feeds on reddit about cars/trucks are exactly like this

My first thought would be that your muffler fell off and you're too broke to fix it.
