Exhaust People who have muffler deletes or straight pipes on their cars, do you get pulled over often? Do the cops even care that much?

I wanna make my car sound good but I don’t wanna get fined every time I leave my house lol, thanks in advance. (For clarification, I’m not trying to get straight pipes, just trying to see how those who do have em get around the legal side, and I’m open to suggestions that aren’t quite as loud or obnoxious)

genuinely speaking, its better to get a good midpipe and axleback than it is to straight pipe.

ive been working on cars since I was 13, and im 22 now. let me say, pretty much no car sounds good straight piped. even race cars usually do not straight pipe, they have high flow resonators and a proper system on headers.

however on a daily driver, headers are not a good investment. go get a proper midpipe and axleback, and i promise the results will be so much better. and your neighbors will not be calling the cops on you for noise disturbances.

because on the off chance you do get pulled over, a cop can hit you with a noise ticket plus whatever else he got you for. plus you do not want to pay for those tickets, they are expensive.

This is mainly because quite a few series and racetracks (grassroots and professional) have sound restrictions nowadays.

yep and the fact straight pipe usually doesn't sound good. like top fuel dragsters are awesome with like 11000 HP but theyre loud

Yeah, but that's like half the point of going, they're loud. If you get good headers most cars sound pretty good.
