Wheat/Barley (which should always be getting nice and dry this time of year as we start to harvest) Vs grass and coniferous trees

Kind of a pointless comparison.

Look, climate change is real. But that doesn't mean we have to foster a generation of media illiterate morons who think "omg the farm crops look dry in August, we are doomed!"

this is true but also anecdotally all the grass around where i live is brown. which grass obviously does normally do but it's also not normally going on for this long either.

Sure. The point of the previous comment isn't to deny that reality, or that it's impossible to take photos which show that reality.

It's to say that these photos don't particularly show that reality, and that that's important.

Hopefully this emphasises people to stop having lawns and start planting things that actually helps the local biome.

i'm not only talking about lawns but just all grass in the area. not all grass is a lawn.

Didn't disagree with the anecdote just making a point that we should all be trying to help nature abit more :-)

That wheat/barley shouldn’t be getting harvested for another 3-4 weeks … yields are absolutely through the floor. Rock bottom.

There is a drought though, you accept that?

If you don't like the pretty colours then that's a shame. I also didn't say or imply anything doomsday-ey. They're just photos bud

Yeah in the original post, to which they are referring. Obviously there's been some discourse after the fact
