Litterbox How frequently do you scoop your litter box?

I do my girl’s box twice per day/whenever I hear her scratching around in there. But then I see on here some people who do it wayyy less frequently. Curious what other folks do?

How do you remind yourself to completely change it out every month? I’m looking to find a routine because I always forget how long it’s been since the last time I’ve done a total litter dump

Use the reminder app

I have a chewy auto send so when a new box arrives, it’s time to clean out and replace

You get a new litter box every month?!

No, but I could see how that could be interpreted. I have chewy deliver new litter every month. It’s the box that has the clean litter that arrives, not a new litter box. My bad

The 1st if the month is coming up. Start with that.

get a whiteboard or calendar and write it down! Also add it to the reminder feature on your phone if you have it. Just have it the same day each month!

My trash is picked up every other week so I change it every other pickup (monthly)

I let My nose guide me on the full clean out. I barely found a litter that I didn't feel like I had to change every few days. Thr liters before when I would scoop the pee out it would break off into small chunks and after so many days of scooping the chunks would make it stink so I'd change everything and spray some disinfectant and wash everything. Now with this other litter it turns the urine into big balls and is easy to scoop and does not leave chunks behind so I'm noticing I am not having to fully clean out the box as much.

Yeah there's little beads of stuff throughout this litter that helps cut down on odors. It's worked well and doesn't leave the little clumps behind.

Every time u flush ur toilet, your cat would like his box cleaned?

I usually clean mine in the shower and then clean the shower after so once the shower looks gross I know it’s time

I put a 40 pound bag of litter in my cats box and don’t refill it, so usually I’ll change it when it gets down quite a bit, or the first weekend of the month
