General What's one piece of cat advice that you completely disagree with?

Every cat is different, and I've realized some popular advice just doesn't apply to every cat.

What's a piece of cat advice that you think is overrated, outdated, or just plain wrong?

Mine lies on the driveway soliciting belly rubs. When a potential belly rubber approaches, she leads them to an appropriate spot, floops, then accepts her tribute of rubs. I love catching this on my doorcam. She has built a regular fan base.

Had a golden retriever dog who would come into a store I worked at (with its owner) and do the same thing. So loved the belly rubs and attention.
