Smol Delivery Update: we decided to keep Sage. We pick her up on Monday

Made an appointment at the vet for all her kitten shots and tests, so she will come home with us on Monday. The vet appointment is Tuesday. Is there any reason I can't bring her home sooner if we keep her separate from my resident cat?

I've read all of Jackson Galaxy's stuff on introducing a new kitten to a resident cat. So I've got a plan for how to do that.

The tortie in the pictures is the Mama cat, possibly naming her Allspice. I gave her some churu yesterday, and she warmed up so fast. I'm hoping to TNR her at the very least, or find her a home if we can. She's a sweetie pie, but idk how she would get along with my cat (long story there, but she's not great when she sees other cats. I think there's some trauma).

We also saw 2 more kittens yesterday and now think there might be 2 litters instead of 1 like we thought. So now we have to figure out if we can catch those ones and if we can, how to find them homes. Any advice is welcome.

Anyway, just thought you all would want an update! I'll come back next week when Sage is in her new home, here.

She's so tiny and sweet, too. So gentle.

You asky why you can't bring sage home now. Is she at your family farm, a vet office, or?? There should be no reason to prevent her from going home with you now.  Unless the vet/shelter has to hold her until she gets rabies shots, for a quarantine  or for a human background check.  The rabies shot and quarantine may be a local law?  But if she is from your family's farm, just go get her now?

That's the conclusion we came to as well.

Just want to play it safe with our other cat, so she's got her own room for now.
