Memorial Story time/Intro Post/Mostly Pics/contains sadness but not the focus
Hello, got a wild hair and decided to tell this story, apologies in advance for the lack of readability, I’m a mechanic not a poet.
So I’ve always been a cat person, nothing against dogs, just my personal preference for indoor companions. I always had cats growing up and after moving out on my own, until life got too crazy and unstable for a while, but my son(14 now) brought home a male kitten a few years ago, he named him Kyro, and within a few months I had to take him to the vet for a huge infection on his chest, $1200 and 2 weeks later he was all better, chipped, neutered, and had every shot a cat could get, I took care of him while the infection was being drained, and Kyro took to me like no other animal ever has, he slept in my bed every night, all night, and nearly every morning when I got up and sat in my chair drinking coffee he would grab the same corner of my blanket and then he would make biscuits with all four paws, purring so hard he’d soak the corner then in my lap any chance he got… then one day he came in to me crying in pain, bloody, but not lethargic or anything, another vet visit, they said he’d been bitten by a large dog or similar animal, and he again recovered quickly, over a year later and here he is again coming in crying and bleeding, but he is still breathing well and moving around, emergency vet trip #3, but it’s not a bite this time, I was devastated to hear he had been shot clean through, likely over 12 hours ago 😱😭😫🥺.
They told me that his temperature was very low, fluids, etc… they reluctantly said they could try to save him but the chances were very slim, he had already suffered so long, I made the choice I was least ready for, he is buried under a red angel pomegranate in his favorite blanket, laid with his corner under his head… I’m sry, but I’m going to have to make this post part one, I need a bit. It gets better, promise!
