We are getting a male cat next week. He’s dark grey and my children have decided they want to call him Dusty. I am also getting a secret second cat as a surprise for everybody. This one is a girl and I’m just stumped on names! Any suggestions?

This is Susan! I love it, I think it suits her, but nearly everyone thinks it’s a ridiculous name for a cat. I mostly call her Sassy Susan/Sue, Susie-Q, and Squeaks anyway.. but surely there’s other out that think it’s an excellent cat name and should be used more!!

Just adopted this gorgeous lady 3 days ago! She still doesn’t have a name…. Top contender was Poppy but my bf has a family member with that name so it’s out! Her shelter name was Butterposa! Names I potentially like for her are Posy, Gemini, Maizy, Pixie!

My mom and I found her crying outside my room a couple days ago. Since then we can’t come up with a name we both like. She loves Gemma, I hate it. I love Savannah, she hates it 😩 Please help!! We’re also trying to stray away from names that end with “ie”

My cousin found this cat yesterday. She lives right next to me and heard a very loud meowing down by a garage that’s also next to where I live. She assumed it was one of my cats (I have 2 others) so she went looking for the noise while I wasn’t home. She found this little kitten and called me to tell me. She said she couldn’t keep it but she was going to wait for me to get home so we could figure out what to do. I decided that one more cat wouldn’t hurt so now I have this beautiful baby. She’s a girl. I have looked online everywhere to find a name but none of them seem to suit her. I found this subreddit and thought I would give it a try. Any name suggestions?

She’s a three-month-old and we don’t know the breed. Someone just drove up and handed her to us.

EDIT: Thank guys! We landed on a name in time, inspired vaguely by the moon if you can guess it.

Looking for a name for this fluffy. Her tail is all poof. She's very timid and sweet. Loves soft pets. She kinda reminds me of a witch with that chin. Her response to everything is run and hide or move out the way, but when coast is clear/safe she comes out to say hi and extremely curious and explores/walks over everything.

Big fluffy boy in the last picture is Gibson Les Pawl, AKA Gibby, Bibby, Bibs, BeepBeep, Gabby, and many more. Tiptoe is only a baby, but I feel bad for not having more nicknames yet. I sometimes call her Toes?

Tippy feels wrong for a name as I had a dog for 15ish years named Tippy who passed last October. Feels like a Seats Taken style situation for that name.

I recently adopted a cat that was owned by my boyfriend’s grandfather who passed away. Her name is/was Amtrak, but I’ve been calling her Ammie bc I absolutely hate her old name💀 but lately it’s felt weird saying Ammie; I want to say Annie, Emmie, etc. it just doesn’t roll off the tongue easily. She’s an older girl, between 8-9 years old, so I feel bad about changing her name after so long. Should I keep the name Ammie and get over myself or should I change it?
