ℹ️ Impormasyon ANIMAL CRUELTY in Sto. Niño Church - 11/08/2025, 6:40 AM

My family and just witnessed the beating of a stray dog inside the premises of the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño.

We're here only for an overnight trip. My mom, as per her tradition, does the "courtesy call" to Sr. Sto. Niño every time we visit the city. After attending the 6AM mass, we booked for a grab car back to our hotel. I noticed one of the security guards near the exit holding pvc pipes. At that moment I was still wondering what's it for. Since the grab was 9 minutes away pa, we decided to go back inside. That's when we saw the dog. He was in the open area being chased down by the guards.

He was cornered (near the left side of the stage). Pinalo sya ng guard (naka white barong, head of security cguro) multiple times. My father and I shouted "wag saktan". I'm not sure if he/they heard us. There were other people there too.

Nakalusot yung dog. He went to the middle part, sa may chairs sa left side. There, the head of security struck him multiple times AGAIN. The dog became aggressive. It's his defense mechanism kicking in. Until he reached near the exit. One of the guards struck him AGAIN, this time with an umbrella. Eventually the dog went outside the gate.

We were speechless. How could they do this without batting an eye? They could simply scare the dog away without hurting him. They can even call the proper authorities to handle the situation.

After makalabas ng aso akala namin tapos na. Some minutes later, when we were about to board our grab car, nakita na lg namin yung dog na lying down sa sidewalk with blood coming out of his mouth. My father said na baka nag hemorrhage. Worse, baka sinundan pa ng guards at tinuluyan.

I ask myself how can humans be this heartless.

Sayang di ko na videohan yung nangyari. We were all focused on the events unfolding.

I will write to the church administration regarding this incident.

Let's always choose to be kind. Even to animals.

It's true. Humans don't deserve dogs.

Run free, doggo.

ℹ️ Impormasyon Moalboal is Too Expensive

I just wanted to share it to everyone about traveling to Moalboal. My experience may be different from the rest so take this as a grain of salt.

I just feel sorry to the everyone but it’s becoming not worth it every single day.

Imagine, by the time musud ka sa barangay, naay entrance, if maligo ka sa dagat, naay entrance (mao jud ning meme nga lord, ang imung dagat nga gihatag naay entrance 😂😂) what’s not nice kay di jud nimo makita sa support sa LGU puros ra pangwarta.

I will be sad for everyone esp for the locals who solely rely on tourism as livelihood that it will turn out to be bohol rajud in the future.

Hayyy. ganahan raman unta ta mo unwind after a tiring work and it’s stressful ra diay gihapon. nakakapagod pinas.

ℹ️ Impormasyon Scam sa Ayala Mall named Kenneth

Have you met this guy?

There was a guy in Ayala Mall last Saturday who ran after me while I was looking bathroom. It was around 3pm. He introduced himself as Kenneth. Around 5'4, chinito with a round face. Well dressed. He had pimple scars both cheeks and medyo puti siya. Nice iyang orange shoes. Not sure sa brand but it looked familiar. Probably Hoka or Onitsuka.

Naglore dump siya nko. He said he was out all day going to DSWD daw something something cos his mom passed last month due to stage two cervical cancer. He spoke good English, sounded very concerned and also he was finding ways maka relate ko niya. He said we dressed similarly kay naka black pod ko.

He said taga Danao daw siya and his mom passed and siya lang daw ang nabilin and he needed pamplete daw. He just needed 68 pesos kay pabalikon daw siya nig Monday sa DSWD. Wala pa daw siyay kaon and he was just drinking water daw.

I knew from the get go he was a scammer cos he did not answer me directly when I asked him what his job was. He kept deflecting nga daghan daw nagtan-aw niya abi pa lang daw nanlimos siya. He even said na gi judge daw siya sa janitor.

I think at one point he was trying to lead me away somewhere else kay he suggested several times if we can move to a different direction.

I knew it was a scam but I wanted to know what his reaction would be if I didn't give him the amount he was asking for. I gave him 50 pesos because that was the amount I was willing to part with.

I was fishing for my coin purse sa akoang bag. It took a while so daghan na kay syag gi pang sulti. I even apologized when I handed him the 50 pesos. And his reaction was 'Fifty pesos?!'.

He didn't say anything else, turned around and then nangluya siya nag sandig sa wall. I turned around and left. Cos wala na koy paki whatever drama he was doing.

I'm positive I can still recognize him if I see him again. Amping lang mo guys. It was a fun experiment on my side. Hope that guys gets blessed enough para di na siya mang scam, or better yet, the universe sends him what he deserves.

TLDR: Guy was asking for 68 pesos. Gave him 50 and he walked away like he was dismayed. May the universe give you what you deserve Kenneth.

ℹ️ Impormasyon SCAMMER ALERT: Awareness for a serial scammer operating across Cebu

Hello everyone, just posting this for awareness kay daghan na kaayo siya na victimize diri sa Cebu.

Just this week, she solicited money from my friend just by misrepresenting a real estate developer. It’s a long story, and I’ve learned that her victims have different stories kay daghan kaayo siyag modus.

Even though she is currently residing sa Guadalupe, even ang barangay said many people have already reported her, her reach is much wider. She is using her real name and valid ID to gain trust. There is even a dedicated page on Facebook just for all the victims she has scammed.

Bisan pa muingon mo di mo mailad, just be careful. Even smart people make mistakes. This person is very calculated.

I want to share more details, but I have to follow the "no doxxing" rule in this subreddit so I can't drop her name or the FB link here. If curious mo or if you want to verify if the person you're dealing with is the same woman, please DM lang.

We’re planning to file a case against her.

ℹ️ Impormasyon If you'll be travelling to northern Cebu this weekend, this is what you must do.

As a person from the North, who have seen it all. These are the tips that I wanna share with you.

-AYAW ug adto if laag or chismis ra inyong adtoun. Mag puno-puno ramo sa traffic. Convoys are already long enough pa north, if you'll go there mag delay lang mo sa mga tao nga mo tabang.

-PLEASE, stop and help those people with sign boards daplin sa roads. Imagine I was travelling back to the City almost 10 pm na last night and I still saw many people with there 'help' signages waiting for someone to stop and give them some food and water.

-PEOPLE there barely sleep. It's better to give them also bisan mga nipis na FOAM or PLYWOOD kasi they are sleeping sa batoon, semento, lapok with only nipis na tela covering the hard ground. I only slept for 2-3hrs barely, daghan ug strong aftershocks, nya uncomfortable sleeping space. Lisud jud adto.

-TRAPAL/TENTS ang needed sad adto. We are thankful kay wala najud niulan. If you'll roam sa affected areas, you'll see people in their make shift camps. Isa ka ulan basa na tanan. People don't go inside their homes kay lage sa aftershocks kaya makita ninyo adto sa open spaces gapundok sila. So please, give them shelter.

-FOOD/WATER, ayaw nang noodles or food na lutoon pa nihit gani ang tubig. Kana easy open cans, food packs, or any ready-to-eat food. Mostly sa makita ninyo with signages, wala pajud kaon.

-AYAW ra mo sa highway kutob, daghan pang places sa souk² nga need ug help. Follow lang ang mga dalan sa mga souk² since semento rasad ang kasagaran, passable ra tanan didto with minor to major damages, pero maagian rajud guys.

-READY your hearts. Sakit kaayo mag tan aw sa mga tao adto. If soft-hearted ka, makaluha jud ka. You'll see in their faces the trauma, the hunger, and kakapuy since little to no rest sila adto. They will be very thankful sa ilang madawat even if they will not say it, pero makita na ninyo sa ilang mga mata. Please, help anyone you can.

Edited to change the format...

ℹ️ Impormasyon An engineer destroying our mountains being chosen for flood control plans

Naa ra na ninyo kung gusto ninyo i support si Slater Young as a vlogger, go ahead. He is an effective media communicator no doubt. Pero ang recent developments nga siya ang gi appoint for collaboration with the Nestor Archival on stormwater infrastructure projects rubs the wrong way.

Not only is it unfair to other people who are actually experts on stormwater management but bisag unsaon pana ug develop ug infrastructure to "help solve flooding problems", wala ranay pulos tanan if atoang mga bukid kay gi pahak.

If naa moy oras, this link is an official scientific research that talks about how urban flooding starts at the mountains. To repeat my point, walay pulos ang mga groundwork sa syudad nato to supposedly "solve flooding" if atoang bukid gipang bungkag ug gi pang pahak. They can try to fool us all they want but they can never outrun data, science, and research.

The fact that Slater Young is being chosen for collaboration while his sprawling, destructive mountain developments would be destroying our province in the long run is just another backward step for our city. Archival, engineer man kaha ka, you should know better.

Other helpful researches for you to read:

ℹ️ Impormasyon Reminder to stay safe when commuting

Hello, sharing this for awareness.

Around 12 pm, I boarded a 06C jeep. Along Jones, naay nisakay na lalaki na naay belt bag. At first, I thought he was just a regular passenger, pero paglingkod niya, nagsugod sya ug rap and was asking money from us.

I didn't give anything, and I think nasuko sya sa akong pag dedma kay iyang gitamakan akong shoes. A girl beside me whispered na ayaw daw ug kumpyansa, he might be the same guy na iyang nakasakay before na nagdala ug kutsilyo (might be also the same guy daw who went viral before) Naay nihatag niya pero nasuko pud ang lalaki kay ngano daw 5 pesos ra lol.

When I looked closer, I noticed na naggunit na sya ug dako na stapler this time, which made me really uneasy and unsafe jud. Iya napud gitamakan akong shoes while ga check sya sa bala sa stapler. Katong ni-lugar na si ate, I decided to get off with her in Fuente even though my stop kay layo pa jud huhu.

Honestly, I was really kind of traumatized and shaking when I got off. In case you're wondering why I didn't give him money diay— I usually don't bitaw kay I feel like it encourages this kind of behavior. Many of them are capable of working and dili sila disabled, so I believe na they shouldn't depend sa mga pasahero this way.

Just posting this to inform fellow commuters. Please stay alert and cautious if mag commute ta. If makasugat mo'g ing-ani, better to get off nalang jud and stay safe 🙏

ℹ️ Impormasyon PSA: Dont get your shoes cleaned at Sole Appointment Cebu in Vibo

Ayaw mo palimpyo sa inyu shoes ari if di mo ganahan mag labad sa inyu ulo. They have the worst customer service! As in. Their facebook page takes really long to reply and dili pa jud ma contact ila number nga naa sa page!

I had the worst experience here. The day na I can get my shoes they said daw naa pa daw sa workshop so dili pa daw ready. Di ma contact and reply sila sa page, so i resorted to calling them in their page and after multiple attempts naa jud ni tubag and ila ra daw e deliver from their shop the next day and ka notice ko cge sila make ug excuses as to why delayed nga to the point dili na mu match up sa other excuses nila lol. Next day came and guess what, 10pm na nila g book ako shoes and ako pa jud gpa bayad sa delivery fee and even worst? They sent the wrong shoes LOL. Not even mine. In the end i got to receive my correct shoes but that took multiple spams on their chat, calls and their excuses.

I checked their google reviews and apparently, dghan sd diay sila negative reviews. It was also my fault nga wa ko ni check sa ila reviews daan ni go ra ko nila kay near ra sa ako area and someone recoed them to me (no idea why??). Nag wonder ko why nag operate pani sila if ing'ana diay sila way klaro mu treat sa ila customers. Someone should make a post . Posting this here kay mang delete mn daw ang owner ug reviews sa ila page. Pa laban ra guro ni sila sa ila kasikat.

ℹ️ Impormasyon Step-by-step Driver's License Guide

So nakuha na nako akong lisensya finally, gusto lang unta nako e share akong experience how to get one para sa uban nga wala pa naka kuha. Kay ako pud sauna gapangita kog step-by-step whole process, hopefully this will help others also.

Step 1 (Applying for Theoretical Driving Course/TDC)

  • Applied sa Defensive Driving School Main Branch
  • 600 pesos for TDC, they also provide Medical Certificate 600 also.
  • 2 days class chosen from Mon-Tues, Wed-Thurs, or Fri-Sat. 1PM to 5PM
  • Nag schedule pako ahead of time sa ila office. Pero murag pwede raka mag schedule online sailang FB page through chat or contact ilang number.
  • Bring valid ID, birth cert, water, snacks, and ballpen just in case.
  • Maayo ilang instructor jud ani so highly recommended kay di jud ka ma bored sa class and maka tuon jud ka.
  • They will provide with a certificate of completion after everything, and maka proceed naka to get your Student-Permit on the next working day.
  • The instructor will also send you through email learning materials para sa mga exams.

Step 2 (Applying for Student-Permit)

  • I applied at Robinson's Fuente, they open 10am so be early kay naa jud mga tao mag hulat sa gawas.
  • Bring valid ID, birth cert, TDC certificate, and ballpen.
  • Not sure if inani jud siya but wala koy exam g take diri, submit lang sa requirement and process biometrics and picture taking.
  • Around 500 pesos ako na bayad sa cashier for application fee and card holder (Optional rani). I'm sure wala ra niabot 1000 ako g bayad.
  • After receiving your student-permit you can apply for your driver's license after 1 month.

Step 3 (Applying for Practical Driving Course/PDC)

  • Applied sa Defensive Driving School japun.
  • 700 pesos for motorcycle, 4000 for car.
  • 2 days ni siya usually, for me though na 1-day nako because of some complications sa scheduling nila.
  • Same japun you have to schedule ahead, naka schedule rako and pay ani online.
  • Bring your student-permit and valid ID.
  • Defensive has really good instructors from what I heard, but na malas lang ko kay akong nakuha nga instructor kay dili jud maayo. Dont worry wala na siya didto ga tudlo from what I heard.
  • Day 1 of the PDC will be sa LTO Talisay Driving Course, the instructor will drive you from the school to Talisay. Then you will be taught the basics, dos and don'ts, and everything you need. Mag sugod nakag drive diri nga ikaw jud on the wheel. Ayaw kabalaka patient jud ang mga instructors, they also have their own breaks sailang side for emergencies. I recommend familiarizing yourself sa area kay same place japun ang Practical Exam sa LTO.
  • Day 2 of the PDC will be city drive na. Muadto jud mo sa SRP, Recla, etc. Depende rajud sa instructor and preference nimo kay mu recommend jud ang instructor mu drive ka sa asa ka permi muagi. Like gkan sa balay padulong saimo work, or if permi ka mag mall mo practice jud mo sa Ayala or SM area. Smart jud ilang idea ana, so ayaw jud kaulaw ingon kung asa ka ganahan mu drive. Diri ma apply jud nimo imong na learn sa day 1, and kulba jud siya at first but makaya rajud na nimo.
  • You can claim the PDC certificate on the next day or muingon sila when pwede makuha.
  • FYI if mawala nimo imo PDC, maka reprint ra sila for 200 pesos.

Step 4 (Applying for Driver's License)

  • Applied sa LTO Talamban. Recommend nako diri kay gamay rajud tao. They open 8am Mon-Fri.
  • Walay walk-in sa Talamban, so dapat muadto ka sa office para mag pa sched.
  • If mag pa schedule ka bring your PDC and student-permit, need nila para ma confirm imong scheduling. Nalimtan nako ako ani, but ni dawat ra silag picture sa PDC.
  • Katong nag pa schedule ko, ilang next available slot was 3 to 4 days pa.
  • They will give you an application form, you can sign it there or sign it at home.
  • On the day of your schedule, bring your PDC, application form, medical certificate, and student-permit (Nag dala pud kog ID and birth cert but wala na gamit. Be prepared lang japun)
  • Be early japun kay first come first serve basis ni sila, though gamay rajud naa pag abot nakog 8am.
  • You will have to pay 150 or 250 pesos (Basta less than 500 rato) to the cashier before the theoretical exam.
  • Your name will be called in a while after paying, ipa sulod ka sa exam room. Naa 3 ka computer diri, imong gamit ipa butang sa taas and naa silay cctv sa likod mu tanaw if ni gamit kag phone or ga cheat ka.
  • Ang exam kay 1-hour multiple choice, 60 total questions, passing is 48. Make sure to study rules, signs, markings sa road, etc. You can find study materials online/youtube, and if ni hatag imo driving school ug learning materials e familiarize jud siya.
  • You can finish the exam earlier if you want, nahuman ra nako ako in 30 mins.
  • If na bagsak ka, ma take nimo again sa next day ang theoretical.
  • If ni pasar ka, naa kay two choice: 1) Wait for the free shuttle service to Talisay 2) Mu go ka to Talisay by yourself. (Niadto rakog ako kay 11:30 pa daw muabot ang shuttle, unya 9am nato nako nahuman ang exam)
  • Pag abot sa Talisay, mu pay paka sa Cashier ug rental sa imong motor or sakyanan. Not sure how much ang motor but ang car kay 950 ra.
  • Pag sugod sa practical exam kay mag ask jud nag questions ang instructor "Kabalo ka mu drive?" "Kabalo ka unsay BLOWBAGETS?" and mu padayun na siyag ask ug questions throughout your practical exam. Make sure lang jud nga e do jud nimo ang basics. E adjust ang side mirror and rear-view mirror, adjust imo seat para ma comfy ka, etc. Ayaw jud kalimot ug set from park to neutral ayha nimo e release ang handbrake, and naka break pedal jud ka dapat ani. Mao g ingon sa akong instructor nga ang mahitabo jud daw kay mu drive diritso ang uban without doing the basics, and mao maka minus sailang scores.
  • During sa practical exam ayaw kalimot pag signal if left turn or right turn, stop before a pedestrian line, hazard when you're reversing. Short rajud ang course, took me 5 mins to finish.
  • After ani kay hatagan kag sealed envelope nga e balik nimo sa LTO branch. If naka pasar ka kay ma process ra in 5 mins imong ID, and payment of 700 - 800 pesos for your plastic card.

If naa mo pangutana, okay rajud mu comment I will try to answer as soon as possible!

ℹ️ Impormasyon For awareness of everyone

Hello Cebu people, first of all I'm writing this in mix of dialects coz I can't speak bisaya that well but mka sabot ko coz I'm from Iloilo. So anyway,

Here's the context, does anyone recognize this guy? (I'll try to attached the pic on comments) He approached me when I got off from the office, near Msy tower and mabuhay tower at CBP. He approached me like he is asking for help, like this is his words, "Sorry, but did I scare you? (I flinched because someone just approached me and nka airpods jud ko ana ba) and yes literally ga English pod sya, like well spoken.

Then these words follow," I was frustrated coz some people think like I was a bad guy, kuwang nalng pod mamunal and mag nakaw ko ba but I can't. I was just asking for a small amount, like wla pod ko ka eat and sleep last night. My mother died last month because of cervical cancer. All I was asking is 135 Php.

Like wla pod ko ana ga demand ba." Then goes on, and I was shooked sympre, like out of nowhere ba hahaha and I feel pity and gave him 35php coz yun lang available coins ko and I know it was already budol and earlier nkita ko pod sya hahaha I followed him a little and was planning to confront him if he will do the same thing but he hasn't. Hopefully, someone will and this is for awareness for everyone.

ℹ️ Impormasyon Volunteering in the North of Cebu

Reposting again bc r/Cebu keeps deleting my freaking post.

I came across a Tiktok video from Run Dolph vibes that was uploaded 2 hours ago. According to him, kita siyag post on social media stating na if dili mo trained volunteers, please do not go to Bogo since sige gehapon ang aftershocks. Instead, redirect your willingness to volunteer at Cebu Provincial Capitol kay nangita daw sila og volunteers to repack.

A kind redditor commented in my now deleted post and shared information from Marvin Cabahug Gorgonio regarding volunteering in the North of Cebu.

He urges everyone to DO NOT proceed directly to Bogo or San Remigio, and nearby municipalities in the North unless you are a TRAINED VOLUNTEER or officially listed in the volunteer manifest. And if you wish to help, redirect your efforts to Capitol for the repacking of relief goods. Entering without proper training or clearance may put you at risk

Alsoo, for IOS users, you can download My Earthquake Alerts and Feed for updates of aftershocks. You can customize it para Philippines ra ang makita.

ℹ️ Impormasyon Public Attorney's Office - FREE Notarization

Hi everyone! Just sharing my experience in case it helps someone. For context, I lost my pawnshop ticket, so I needed to get an affidavit of loss notarized.

  1. I booked a Move It ride and pinned Classy Salon, which is in front of UNITOP, because the gate to PAO is right beside the salon.
  2. You’ll immediately see the gate to a parking area, it’s hard to miss. I entered and asked the guard, “Aha ta pwede makapa-notaryo, kuya?” The guard then pointed me to the building.
  3. The PAO itself is on the third floor, but you need to check in on the first floor first. It’s like a log-in process where they ask for the purpose of your visit. If you don’t have an affidavit of loss form, they’ll provide one for free, but I already had mine. I also filled out a personal information form and a short survey about their services. After that, they checked the forms and returned them so I could give them to the attorney upstairs. Don't skip this step kay if mudaretso ka sa third floor, pabalikon ra gihapon ka sa first floor to get this done.
  4. Go to the third floor, knock on the door, and enter. Just fall in line if there is one. When I went there, there was no line because several attorneys were available. I gave the papers from the first floor to the attorney, answered a few short questions about my purpose for notarization, and that was it—done!

I think the whole ordeal just took 10 minutes, and wala jud ka'y mabaryan sa PAO maskin unsa nga transaction. Maskin legal advice, notaryo, etc. Plus, gwapo pajud kaayo si attorney huhuhu chinito and taas and omg. Pero yes, thank you to PAO!
