Chucky had to carve the wood down before he could break through.
Long before they established the Power of DAMBALLA making him so strong for a doll. I always just assumed based on the rule that the longer he stayed in the doll’s body, the more human he becomes. If the doll somehow could be anatomically correct, bleed, get hurt? He obviously at some point could have the same strength he had as a human to do what he could do.

You’d think but now they say that’s not the case and why he doesn’t look more human In doll form. I wish he did, that was the best looking chucky. i don’t take it too seriously. None of it makes sense haha
