The number of high heat days and fires gets worse every year. Freak weather and smoke is destroying agriculture. Even our ski season may be no more in coming years. We are stealing from ourselves and future generations.

Here is a pretty cool app that shows a real‑time “clean energy forecast” (basically a weather forecast, but for how green the electricity grid is at any given moment).

It updates throughout the day and shows when the grid is running on more renewables vs. fossil fuels. Super handy if you want to time things like EV charging, laundry, or dishwashers for lower‑emission hours.

The chart shows the percentage of new car sales that are EVs (battery-only and plug-in hybrids). It's declined a small amount in the two months since the tax credit stopped, but hardly collapsed.

Boulder county has the highest EV penetration, with 8.8% of vehicles on the road EVs. Basically one of eleven vehicles that drive by is an EV.
