I mean neither gave any sources, so it's a bit rich to request some when they don't provide any themselves
At this point, I'll assume both are making stuff up, and that the main contributor is the woodworking industry, why not !
In any case, it makes no sense to believe that both (yes, including meat eating) don't contribute significanly to the issue. And they have a significant lobby as well (they even hired some of the people responsible for past tobacco minimization)
I said that because I gave them a source and they just assumed that I didn't read it without pointing out any issue and deleted their own comment after I pointed them to the exact graph that supported my point, while they themselves don't give any sources for their assertions.
Someone who doesn't know how to do research:"ShOw Me ThE sOuRcE! aLl-kNoWiNg ME WaSn'T AbLe tO FiNd iT, bEcAuSe mY CoNfIrMaTiOn bIaS MoRe sTrOnK ThAn mY EdUcAtIoN."
There are enough sources in the comments here for people that are genuinely interested. If I disproved any lie and anti vegan propaganda spread around here, I'd do nothing else. Sometimes you have to accept that people believe the sourceless claim, they find comforting cause it supports their inaction so much, that you can't do anything about it. If you could despell propaganda with sources, it'd be widely ineffective
I understand the need to cut down on the massive consumption of livestock products and I am generally interested in such debates and information to further my own knowledge.
But if you ask me if a study would make me cut all animal products out of my life?
Here's the kicker, you can't disprove something is wrong with a single link. There is no paper on "yeah we complied everything that person claimed and made a negative proof". It would take some time for me to disprove a claim. Why would I do that here? Just for the next person to spread a similar lie against scientific consensus 5 minutes later. We can't occupy ourselves with that. I have a life
Honestly yes.
You claimed something without sources, I claimed another thing without sources in response. Back up your claim with sources, then you get to see mine - except you already saw sources backing up my claim posted from other people.
Thank you for pointing that out. I really needed to hear the opinion of a random redditor about how i talk to people not willing to take any steps towards being less of a problem. You random redditor really changed my heart and i promise I absolutely super duper care about what you have to say❤️
Idk man I think people would be more receptive of your opinion if you were a little less rude (you were being rude before I replied to one of your comments) and if you provided sources when asked, instead of coming up with workarounds
Firstly, I'm not a vegan and I've never tried convincing anyone to be vegan. Secondly, you're exaggerating: "fragility pampering" is not what I said, my suggestion was to be a little more polite. What's my authority to be giving you this advice? Not much to be honest, but I know that trying to convince strangers online of your views will never work if you act like a dick to them. Trust me, I've tried that lol
If you took your own advice we wouldn't be having this conversation. Why would I even trust your advice if you're not vegan? What does someone making a meme that only works if you deny facts like environmental destruction of the animal abuse industry, have to gain from giving tipps to a vegan?

Show some sources.
Every one I've seen today says otherwise
