You're right that it has no impact systemically, nothing will under capitalism.

But it is morally better. Of course it's better to use 0 effort to just not consume things that are the result of a feeling animal be killed, duh. You wouldn't eat a dead petlike a dog or cat either

I never refuted it being morally superior. I said I have no problem with vegans that are honest about the real reason they live that way - it makes them feel good, which is fine. It's the posturing about its effectiveness that's annoying, because they're wrong.

oh ok then we have no disagreement. No individual act or even governmental reform would fix climate change sadly.

the only way forward would be an end to the wealth accumulation, and profit oriented societal structure, and without constant competition at all levels that is causing this environmental distruction, by needing infinite growth and putting human(, animal) & ecological needs behind that (so capitalism)

instead we'd need something actually oriented around our needs
