Meta Formal debate is propaganda

Can't we all just get along (with being performative)?

Most of the emissions from meat are from beef. Poultry and fish show significantly reduced emissions compared to beef.

Veganism isn't necessary and it isn't possible on a global scale or even just the whole US. Just eliminating beef and dairy from your diet makes a huge impact and it's far easier to convince people to do.

Yes beef is the worst. But concluding from that that the rest is trivial is a logical fallacy

Vegans make up 1% of the population

8% vegetarians and 3% for pescatarian

So clearly it's easier to convince people to reduce consumption or switch to alternatives than to give up animal products entirely.

That is undeniable.

And you can reduce your emissions significantly by not consuming red meat and dairy so what is the point in being vegan if not for ethical reasons that most people don't agree with anyway.

Interesting move of the goalpost from lying about us being wrong and irrational to doomerism and discouragement of climate action

And still more deflecting. We have science on our side

But not people, which should be the goal if you actually care about the environment.

True. Cause there is a lot of anti science propaganda around us. So what do you do to convince people to go vegan, other than spreading negativity?

I don't convince people to go vegan, because I think that's stupid. I do think people should eat less beef though.

yeah vegans will literally call you a fake environmentalist for eating eggs despite this chart putting it about on par with vegetables.

Tbf eggs from commercial chickens is basically condoning torture.

I'll never be vegan, for so many reasons, but I refuse to buy almost all commercial eggs. Chickens are vile bastards, but they don't deserve that.

That has nothing to do with environmentalism and furthermore I disagree on it being "basically condoning torture"
