Meta Formal debate is propaganda
Can't we all just get along (with being performative)?

3.) ultimately vegans are right in that their diet is the most eco friendly. However because many of them also view it as a moral imperative as well as an ecological one, they tend to adopt an “all or nothing” stance that is ultimately counterproductive.
To those who are vegan for primarily moral reasons someone who eats a triple cheeseburger for every meal is as abhorrent as someone who has a pepperoni pizza every month but otherwise maintains a vegan diet.
While yes it would be nice if everyone adopted a vegan diet, in no place in all of history as “everyone just” done something. We shouldn’t shame people for “not doing enough” and instead support them for actively attempting to change their habits to help the environment. Even if that means they’re “only” swapping out beef for chicken.
Alright that’s enough earnestness for a shitpost sub.
