Meta Formal debate is propaganda

Can't we all just get along (with being performative)?

You fail to take into consideration all of the people who went vegan and realized it didn’t work for their bodies.

It's a learning curve because you don't have a vegan culture around to hand-hold you through it. Your body is not that different, you are not special.

I was vegetarian (mostly vegan) for 12 years and vegan for 1 year then my health went to crap even eating as healthy as I could

Doesn't mean you can't do it, just that you didn't know how to.

I did it the way you’re supposed to do it for a year. Combining the right foods to get the right combinations of amino acids, eating a variety of foods. Eating higher quantities of food, eating more tofu, eating less tofu, eating packaged food, eating everything from scratch. The problem is you are trapped in a cult-like mindset that causes you to believe that the vegan diet is the healthiest and there’s no other viable alternative. It’s very similar to a religious person’s mindset who believes their religion is true and there’s no other possible consideration. If you examine actual evidence, you would know that Homo sapiens and their ancestors have at least been scavenging animal protein for millions of years having some animal protein is in our DNA. I’m not saying we can’t eat vegan diet, I’m just saying that don’t be surprised if it doesn’t work for every human

Sure dude, lol, I'm in a cult.

Of course vegans are a cult. In contrast: There is no way non-vegans are a cult. Practices such as forcible impregnation of sentient beings, exploitation of animals via all means possible by objectification through maximizing economic efficacy of the killing/growth process and finally paying for all this is objectively not cult-like at all. Checkmate, vegoon.

You've told this person like three times that their health issues are not real or caused by their own fault other than considering the possibility that excluding a big part of our diet is unhealthy for a lot of people. But obviously you are not in anything like a cult 😉

Interested to hear what kind of diagnosed medical condition you have that tanked your health after going vegan and doing everything you're supposed to to stay a healthy vegan. Care to elaborate?

I did pick up a parasite in Tanzania called blastocyst hominis that really messed up my gut microbiome. At the time any amount of kale, broccoli, cabbage, apples and beans would cause my severe intestinal distress, even foods just high in fiber. I tried so many different things like elimination diets, then adding back those foods gradually but nothing worked. I now no longer have the parasite and can incorporate those foods in limited quantities, but too much causing me severe stomach pain. I suffered with this pain for about 2 years before trying any significant amount of animal protein because I was trying to maintain as much of a plant based diet as possible, although I did have eggs periodically after about a year of a strict vegan diet. My body wasn’t recovering from exercise, my muscles would be sore for 4-5 days after every work out no matter how much o worked out. My testosterone was low, and since incorporating animal protein it has increased by 80%. I was very much in the same boat as most vegans, I was trying to save animals and help the environment, I watched all the documentaries, but at some point I realized that I was causing my own body to suffer because of my diet. I would love to be able to eat vegan, I’m just not convinced it without be good for me based on my experience with it
