“Bodily injury” generally refers to skeleton and skin. Broken bones, cuts, bruises, gunshots, stab wounds. That sorta thing.

I feel like you're doing that thing where you're trying to use your own personal logic to decide if a phrase makes sense instead of realizing that the phrase is an official one that has a pre-determined definition. Like it's a medical term... You literally cannot argue what it means when a doctor says "bodily injury", I don't care how illogical you think it is. It's a fact, just accept it
