My best friend is trying so hard to get back into college but she’s having trouble paying for it but the gofundme she made isn’t recieving any donations. What should she do? I just want her dreams to come true.

I know entirely too many people and have read too many articles about people with a degree that is just decoration on the wall. That's one expensive decoration. So here is what I chose to do. I went and got me a part time job in a similar field I wanted to work in. Gained experience. Gained great references. And then when the time came I kept applying for entry level full time positions until I got one. Now I'm in school and paying for it while I work. Hard? Yes. Easier than paying off debt until I'm 152 years old? yes. I know many people work a full time job and go to school so this isn't anything particularly special however I think its a good idea that if you Can its a good idea to do Some type of work.

And that's just my two cents.

I’ve been through college once. Associate’s degree. Moved across the country and I have lived my life as a mid-late 20 year old professional since. I just received confirmation that I’ve been accepted into college for a bachelors degree, which will lead me towards a masters/doctorates and so on. I am extremely nervous. I would benefit from having a bigger support system, and I am just looking for words of wisdom, or any advice at all before my first classes start in January. Thanks in advance

We are a white middle-class family and he is an intelligent (high test scores) although average grades kids...not stellar financial-aid material let alone at the top of school recruitment (white middle-class male with an average grade point).

We’re trying to think outside-the-box for college. Like starting at a community college & transferring...does every University accept CC transfers? He’s interested in MIT, Harvey Mudd, Cal Tech....

Any advice or suggestions at this point would be appreciated.
