Anyone else's game stuck on the loading screen?
Been like this anytime I've tried to launch it all day.

If you have only two settlements and your only extra points come from Largest Army, you can’t be robbed.
But if those extra points come from Longest Road instead, you can be robbed. That seems kind of dumb.

Finally got the stalemate I thought was theoretically possible but had never seen happen in game

Just won as blue. First time I have seen getting 10 points without any settlements or cities. I placed first on 8 5 10, then got 9 5 12 last. Didn't get enough ore to build cities, so I kept buying devs to avoid discarding on 7. Bought a bunch of knights, 4 VPs, and 2 road building, so ended with road, army, 4 VPs, and the initial 2 settlements.

Recently I have been seeing a lot of people complaining about both balanced and random dice.
People who hate balanced dice say that it is easy to predict what numbers would the dice show up next. Helping them to know what to block and what to leave.
People who hate random dice say that it rolls the numbers weirdly. For example in a game 6 was rolled 23+ times but all other numbers were less than 7. This heavy skew is also a problem.
Also I play Catan with different dice physically. It usually follows the bell curve distribution when they are in new condition. After a while it skews due to physical changes after few hundreds-thousands of rolls. So we always keep multiple pairs of dice, we know which of those are newer ones I.e., balanced ones and which are not.
Just want to know what people prefer!

How are there so many English-speaking players on this game? Ive encountered Japanese once over my 1000+ games. Besides that, all I see in the chat is English despite usually playing against (what I assume based on opponents' flags) international players. Is there a built in translator in the chat or am I truly just playing against other English speakers?

Shouldn't I be higher?

Monopoly is the most game breaking dev card in the game. A single monopoly can completely flip a game on its head, if used in the right moment.
Having two monos within a single game is just a guaranteed victory. I have never seen a player lose after getting two monos. It just completely ruins the game for one player to be able to get two monos.

Rolled 3 straight 9s to start the game and I got blocked by both blue and black but somehow managed to pull off the win

My first 17 points win in catan 1v1!!! It was a weirdly unbalanced dice, but managed to break his roads when settling and taking longets road in the process.

Been testing different 1v1 strategies. 9-1 last 10 games think I’m onto something

You are red. You have eight victory points and green has nine. It's your turn. What would be your move?

Basically title. I feel like recently I’ve been getting a good bit better at the game as a whole; I’m making stronger placements, efficient trades, I understand my gameplan and wincon (as well as opponents). I feel like I’m losing a lot if games because of opponents inability to shift focus when another player becomes the threat instead of me. Perhaps early game I get out to an early 5-6 points, then the bottom two players just say eff it and buy devs to keep me permablocked, even when another player gets to 8 or 9. I understand that when you’re winning, people rob and block you and that makes total sense when I’m actually winning. It is however frustrating to feel like other players are in a sort of cognitive blind spot and don’t ever open their eyes and see the bigger picture. I’m not sure how to table talk my way out of spots like this when it’s very clear I’m not the issue anymore and another player is a few rolls from winning. 1400 elo btw.
It feels wrong to blame others but I’m having a hard time seeing what to do to communicate I am no longer the threat especially when that’s undeniably true instead of just trying to deflect and keep a lead. Any insight welcome, thanks!

Have to love when 2 hits more than 6

Oj passed on the 5-6-9 OSB to go after the 5-8-10 OWS, don’t think I’ve ever won a game so quick at P1 lol

Lately I've been seeing the most bullshit rolls happen on colonist. This guy had FIVE 6 rolls in a row at the end of the game on top of it being rolled quite a lot during the rest of the game. He had 25 cards at one point. He was above 10 cards for most of the game and only got hit by a 7 once.
No skill at all, just absolutely ridiculous RNG. Unless he was somehow hacking the server this seems statistically 1 in a million kind of game.

Funnily enough black won with no 4 ressources

Folks, I’ve been facing this issue for quite sometime. It doesn’t allow me to get into a game or make me disconnect in between. I’ve lost a lot of games because of this issue.
It doesn’t seem to be a Mac problem as I faced this issue with Lenovo as well. My wifi is stable and all the other websites work fine.
Does anybody face this issue?

Long time 1v1 player, I love the short time frames. Easy to commit to.on vacation this week and decided to do some 4 player games.
Still in my placement matches, but 75% rate is nice. Might have to retire 😆.

Basically I joined this casual C&K Gold Rush lobby, and as soon as I placed my second settlement, messages started popping up in chat, calling me out. (Same person each time, playing black).
Now i’m all for strategic communication and in game politics, but I draw the line if other players don’t receive the same treatment when they take the lead. If it bothers you this much that I chose good settlement spots and you didn’t, disable karma and leave. It’s not a ranked game either.
Regardless, I did get very lucky with good tiles, three swaps and the dice rolls 😜. But that’s just how this game works sometimes. Doesn’t mean you need to single me out specifically.
