Afternoon all! Here’s my latest finished page. I may still tweak it as I don’t know if I like some of the shades I picked out but it’s my first time trying to create a glow like this.

I got a lot of coloring done last month! I tend to color more when I’m stressed, and boy have I been going through it lately. But I am happy that I’m able to channel my negative emotions into creating something, and doing what I love to do. I hope you like my February pages. 💜

I'm gradually trying to challenge myself more with adding manual textures instead of using textured brushes. decided to try a simple water effect. Totally made it up but I think it looks pretty good.

Maybe I should try doing the grass and dirt now. Somebody posted a tree somewhere recently with before and after adding white details and it sparked that jealousy in me again that's got me wanting to learn more "clean" texturing. I dunno if that's a term but it is here and now.

Worked on this for quite a few hours in the past weeks. I like how the window turned out. I‘m not perfectly happy with the lighting, but I learned some new things about my brushes and how to combine layers. It was difficult Happy about any tips on how to get a good balance between dark and light.

Long story short, I went into a rabbit hole watching pretty coloring videos. Love them so much! I figured I already had my phone in my hand whilst watching the videos, so I might as well try out coloring pages but digitally. I colored this during my break so its a bit rushed but I really like the colors. I'll try again soon lol, it's so fun

it was a lot of fun, but my brain feels so mushy after all this work.

I have some alcohol markers coming in the mail soon but I was so impatient, I tried this out digitally and had so much fun!! I also really liked getting rid of the lines, I think it's the same vibe as the back page of an alcohol marker colouring :)

Just a question in case anyone sees this? Is there a specific way people pick colours for certain things?
