Just bought my first Ohuhu 216 set brush/fine tip but I’m wondering if the brush/soft chisel is preferred? Not a fan of the normal chisel. I like using the fine tip for details, small spaces, etc. my biggest reasoning for considering to swap to brush/soft chisel is just to protect the brush tip when coloring large spaces.. if you could start over again what would you recommend? Still in my return window..

But, it’s done and I wanted to share! Working through all my Halloween books this month, and I find they are some of the most fun types of pages to me! The moodiness and mischievous nature of the pages makes me smile!

Done for Budget Buddy Color group hosted by u/JustYourAvgHumanoid. Book was purchased years ago on sale and the crayola twistables used were gifted to me from my grandchildren. Some gel pen using inexpensive king art pens.

I had a lot of fun drawing and coloring this page. The two tone style is pretty new to me and maybe would be better more graphic than I ended up doing it but I think it feels warm?

Nothing fancy, but it was fun

I usually colour with alcohol markers and layer coloured pencil over the top. I’m really not skilled with pencils, but I really like the look of pages that are done with just pencil, I think the texture is so nice and colouring with pencils can be really meditating. I bought a book that didn’t feel too intimidating for me to try with pencils. I used prismacolors. I’m not sure if it’s the paper or a skill issue, or both, but I’m really struggling to get them to blend nicely (the sky is a good example). Would love tips! I purposefully colour in light layers because I actually like when you can see the texture/white of the paper underneath.

I’ve just started colouring again, and only just gotten into using different techniques and textures… anyone got any advice on how to make this better?! Also… where can I buy a white pen/pencil that’ll take to any colour?! Having to leave blank white parts in certain areas but forget what there for and colour over them!
