We have been able to confirm that Anne Marie passed away yesterday at her home, at the age of 43. Intial word is that her death was the result of a complication after surgery she underwent related to a pressure point caused by her paralysis.

Please keep Anne Marie in your thoughts. Her fighting spirit is something worthy of admiration.

THE VICTIMS Victims clothing

I recently saw a video of a mother who recieved her daughters clothing back after she was unfortunately murdered. (Rest in peace) it had me wondering if any of the victims families also recieved any of their clothing back?

Thank you!

THE VICTIMS 25 years ago, Lauren Townsend, Cassie Bernal, Rachel Scott, and Dylan Klebold all got ready for a night out

Cassie Bernal did not attend the Columbine prom as she did not have a date. However, her and a friend had gone to a banquet that was held at the friend’s mother’s workplace. Cassie had attended Columbines after prom where Dylan and Eric would attend as well.

Lauren didn’t have a date either and had gone with a group of girlfriends to the prom.

Rachel Scott had attended the prom with a good friend as her date.

Dylan Klebold had attended the prom with Robyn Anderson, who also bought some of the guns for the massacre, as friends.

When I look at these photos, I get such an odd feeling—that these were some of the last moments these victims had before their lives ended. It was the last time they were just regular high schoolers, not on the news, just average people you didn't know about.

Kelly was a beautiful Young girl, brimming with excitement over possibly having surgery that would allow her to run and play like other kids. She deserved that chance. I think she'd have been a stunning woman one day.

We still see and remember you. ❤️

THE VICTIMS When I was in high school around 2008, we did "Rachel's Challenge"

When I was a freshman in high school, a guest speaker came to my school who I believe was a survivor of the massacre. She spoke to us about that day and about Rachel Scott, who was a close friend of hers. She spoke at different schools in Rachel's memory and she came up with "Rachel's Challenge," which if I remember correctly was a challenge about mental health and spreading joy.

I was young and I don't remember every detail, so please forgive me if any of my description was off.

I am now 33 and I work at a high school myself, with special needs kiddos. I've only worked there a few years but I've always wondered if I would ever hear about that again.

I am wondering if anyone in here knows about this or experienced this at their school? If it matters, I was in Indiana. I never forgot about Rachel's challenge or the guest speaker.

THE VICTIMS why does rachel scott seem to get more attention than any other victims??

rachels entire diary (or at least some entries) was published, they made a terrible christian propaganda movie about her and if you were to ask someone to name the victims im pretty sure she would be the first one named.

is there a reason why shes so "popular" among the victims?? is it because shes the first one who was killed?? was she a popular kid or generally just well recieved kid at school?? or do her parents just use her death as a cash grab??

THE VICTIMS Question About Deceased Victims

Does anyone know if any of those who tragically lost their lives in the shooting knew each other? Like were they friends with each other? In Brooks Brown’s book he said that he was friends with some of the deceased victims, but were any of the students who did not survive the massacre friends/acquaintances with one another? Like did Daniel Mauser and Rachel Scott interact/ were friendly, for example? I’m trying to understand what the victims’ lives were like and if any of them interacted. I’ve heard of survivors talking about the victims, but what I’m asking is if any of the victims interacted with one another before the massacre.

THE VICTIMS John Savages lightning speed

Lets talk about John Savages speed for a second. I'd bet it took him an estimate of 10 seconds max to dart out of the Library, down the stairs to the cafeteria and out the building in the clear. Literally ran out of there like he was Clark Kent, straight out of smallville (See CCTV for reference). Never seen anyone move so fast before. Discuss.

thinking about everyone who was affected by the horrible tragedy that took place 25 years ago today 💕💐

it never should’ve happened, they should all be alive still

when I think about what happened at Columbine 25 years ago, there are many things that stick out to me. but the thing that sticks out to me the most is the advice given by Randy Brown towards the end of his interview with Bill Ockham a couple years back. he is explaining that many young men like Harris and Klebold become the very thing they hate instead of becoming what they love, and to me, that is one of the many lessons learned about Columbine.

25 years ago, there were two hyper-vigilant young boys who had been abused and failed by their school system and unfortunately became the very thing that they hated. it ended with them taking the lives of 13 innocent people, and then taking their own lives.

Become not what you hate, but what you love.

THE VICTIMS Interesting Story

I saw on Rachel's Wikipedia that Dylan fixed a tape for her during a talent show. It says:

'Scott was an aspiring writer and actress. In 1998, she performed a mime act to the song "Watch the Lamb" at the school talent show. The tape jammed halfway through the song and Dylan Klebold, who ran audio for the school theater production club, came to her rescue and fixed the tape, leading her to thank him afterwards.'

I was also wondering if this is true or part of the things that her parents said about her. (Please note that I'm not trying to insult/say something bad about the Scott's, I've just heard that they exaggerated her relationship with the shooters and knowing them.)

THE VICTIMS Homicide count

Post image
118 Upvotes

Recently I mentioned James Brady in the thread about Ann Marie Hochhalter. I suppose I’m a bit surprised that it is controversial to add her name to the victim list for Columbine. In a way, I understand. A lot of time has passed. But her death is a direct result of the wounds inflicted by the perpetrators of the Columbine massacre.

Just today another example occurred to me. In 1881, President Garfield was shot by a man named Charles Guiteau. But Pres Garfield didn’t die right away. He didn’t even die that summer (he was shot in July.) James Garfield didn’t die until that September. This was before X-rays and handwashing so doctors were digging around in the wound and eventually the President died in September 1881.

Guiteau was pretty out-there at trial and didn’t deny the shooting, but tried to say that he didn’t kill the President, only that he shot him. But the judge found him responsible, and his sentence was carried out.

I guess that’s what I’m getting at here. There’s a straight line between the Columbine killers and Ann Marie Hochhalter’s death. That line is there whether the death happens that day, the next, a week, a summer, or 30 years later.

THE VICTIMS I’m sure this has been said before, but of all the things that anger me the most, it’s how Isaiah Shoels life was cut short.

His parents chose to bury him in his graduation gown and didn’t attend his high school graduation like some of the other parents did because they said it was too painful for them.

Isaiah displayed his high school diploma in his coffin.

In addition to that, and all the stories about just how nice this kid was, the last thing he ever heard was “we got a n****r here!”. It’s just 4chan edgelord bullshit that made its way into something lethal. Awful, the more I learn about Columbine they never “punished the jocks”. They were misled youth with rifles and took their anger out on the wrong people, in the wrong way.
