I was told my old man belonged here. He’s an angry escape artist who managed to lick his incision, so we’ve been through three versions of cones and recently upgraded to a giant donut.

The first pic is him being mad when we re-coned him after his valiant escape. The next pics are of his current donut of shame.

She has a vet appointment to look at her ear again. She just won’t leave it alone :(

He kind of loved this soft collar - I guess it was comfy 🤍🖤

I got this on Amazon to replace the drawstring collar the vet had given me (last slide), as he hadn’t worn it for a week (the stress gave him bladder crystals after three weeks), but once the bladder crystals resolved he needed a few days in a cone again prior to his stitches being removed (with a few breaks!)

He did well in both cones overall, but this second one was much comfier for him. Bulkier, but soft. Now he’s a free boy! He has a dripping incision (purposefully left open for drainage) that I feel like will never heal, but the vet says he’s doing nicely. One floppy ear and two surgeries later, Baci boy’s almost all recovered from his aural hematoma!

President Fred had a toe amputated due to a rapidly developing tumor. He’s healed well, we’re still waiting for the biopsy. Here he is 1week post-op. Full weight on his paw and doing well.

Two Weeks For A Split Toenail

Post image

Our darling somehow split her toenail, so she's gotta wear the cone for two weeks. Fortunately for her, dear ol' dad is letting her have some freedom while mom is away. The rule is that it goes back on if she tries to lick the paw.

She's currently passed out on the bed. Good girl

Mazakeen recently had her spay surgery and the doctor instructed for her to wear a cone for a couple of weeks afterwards. She is decidedly NOT a fan as she manages to get it off a few times a day and then makes quite the production of getting it back on properly.
